I have finally discovered a foundation I like!
It isn't designer, isn't expensive and isn't hard to find.
It is however, perfect for my skin, long lasting, easy to apply and gives great coverage.
The foundation I am talking about is Maybelline Dream Creamy Foundation.
I love it!
I reach for this over my Mac and Benefit foundations every day.
I bought this just as a spur of the moment purchase, as it was on a three for two offer in Superdrug… I am so glad I picked it up!
It comes as a solid foundation in a little compact, but when you apply it to the skin, it pretty much turns to liquid. A little bit goes a very long way and like I said, the coverage is fantastic.
I suffer from very dry skin on my forehead and nose, and my other foundations always make this show up really badly, I can never seem to disguise it. However, with this Maybelline foundation, due to the hydrating effect it has, I can cover any dry patches really easily.
I have just been using the little sponge which you get with the foundation to apply, and I have had no issues with this.
I also find the foundation really cooling when applied to the skin, which is really nice.
I chose the colour 'Sand' and it is a great match for my NW15 skin.
There are lots of shades to choose from too, so I'm sure most people will be able to find a good match for their own skin too.

At first I wasn't keen on the packaging, but I have now decided it is a really good idea.
First impressions of the packaging, I expected the lid to just lift up and have the foundation inside (much like Mac Studio Tech/Fix) , but I was wrong.
The lid screws off, and instead of the foundation facing up at you, it's in the lid.
You then turn the rest of the packing upside down, and the lid lifts up to reveal the sponge.
I think it's really clever , because you can put down both sides of the packaging, and have the sponge resting inside it's lid, keeping it clean… I just find it really handy.

I would recommend this to anyone with normal or dry skin (maybe not for people who suffer from greasy skin as it probably wouldn't last as long), and I am going to continue buying this every single time I run out. 5/5
