Center Parting

For alot of years now, I have had a side parting in my hair. I've swapped it from side to side now and again, teaming it up with fringes of allsorts... full fringe, side fringe, long side swept fringe, you name it!
I have started to grow my fringe out for a change and it's recently got to that awkward length, so I've been trying out new things with my hair, and I've found a style I really like, which sees me rocking a center parting!
This is something which I didnt expect to suit, as I haven't worn my hair like this since I was in primary school, but when my hair is wavy, I love it!
I styled my hair with my Cloud 9 irons and clipped my finge back on either side.
I didn't really expect to like it as much as I do, it's a great style for me, as I don't like to wear my hair the same every day. This is a quick and easy style which I am going to be sporting more often and experimenting with. I think I will be brave any try it with poker straight hair a'la Rachel Bilson!

What do you think? Do you wear your hair in a center parting?

What I Wore

I'm so sorry I haven't been blogging much lately, actually, I can't believe how long it has been since my last post! There was a time when I was blogging at least once a day, so to me it feels like it really has been ages since I wrote on here!

I won't go into what I've been doing, as I have plans to do a weekly catch-up kind of post on the same day each week, just to let you all know what I've been up to. (That's if you'd be interested in that kind of thing? Let me know!)

I thought I would share an outfit with you, which I wore about a week ago now for a meal out.
Tunic/Dress: Funk Rock Boutique
Cardigan: Topshop
Belt: Primark
Leggings: Topshop

I really love this tunic! I am a sucker for florals, and this has such lovely colours in it. I also think it is great because of it's really unique style. The extra band of black around the bottom gives it that little extra length needed to make it suitable to be worn as a dress and hopefully you can see in the pictures that I have tied a bow around my neck with the fabric on the top of the dress... this can be worn in various ways (left hanging, tied loosley, draped around the shoulders etc). You can buy it here for only £21.99 and it is available in other colours .

Funk Rock is such a cute website which sells lots of lovely girly clothes. They have various collections, so I'm prettysure there is something on their site to cater to most people's taste! My wishlist for the site is pretty lengthy, I have to say!
Currently on their site, you get a free tote bag if you spend over £20 and free delivery when you spend over £25 -  so now really is the time to order!! (They accept PayPal too!)

Ins & Outs

I haven't done an 'Ins and Outs' blog post in ages, so guess what?!
Here are my ins and outs for the past couple of weeks :)
Ins
*Blogging*
I am really enjoying my blog at the moment, even more so than usual. I love reading and replying to the comments you all leave me, and I have made some great friends through this blog and I finally feel like I have found my true blogging identity!
*Big Brother*
I get addicted to BB every year, and this year is no different. I am so sad it's the final one :( I am loving Josie & John James though - they are sooo going to get it on!
*Interviews*
I have had a couple of interviews over the past few weeks, all for jobs I really think I would enjoy. So far, I think the interviews have gone pretty well too, so hopefully I will be offered a job soon!
*Summer*
I'm not one to enjoy hot weather, but so far this summer has been lovely for me... nice and warm, perfect weather for summery dresses and flip flops, but with a nice breeze. I love it like this!
*Mountain Dew*
Mountain Dew had finally come back to the UK! It used to be my fave drink when I was about 12/13 and they stopped making it. I bought myself the odd few from America over the years, but it cost quite a bit... I'm so happy it's back - I will be addicted again!
Outs
*Swapping my car*
I've decided to swap my beautiful Grande Punto for an older VW Golf plus a bit of money. I've mainly done this because I need the money to pay my bills. I like the Golf, but I LOVEEE my Punto and I'm going to miss it so, so much :(
*Bills*
...Say no more!
*My Macbook*
I'ts broken for the second time this year :( It's so unfair when you buy something expensive like that and take care of it and it still fails!

Hello Sailor!

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen me talking about my new playsuit. If you don't follow me on there, my nameis @tornumber9 so get following hehe!
Anyway, I wore the playsuit today, so here is my outfit of the day, showing you my current favourite item in my wardrobe!
The playsuit is a gorgeous silky fabric, with a cinched in waist which makes it super flattering and it even had two pockets - what more could you ask for?! The print is so cute, it's covered inlittle anchors and stars - I just love the nautical trend and I think it's prefect for summer, day or night!
I teamed mine up with a cardigan from Primark and a Topshop belt, but it's so versatile, it could go with almost anything.

I got my playsuit from the great fashion brand Little Mistress. I only discovered the brand recently, and I am so glad I did! They are a British brand and they have some great pieces which are really on trend and really wearable. The prices are pretty good too, the playsuit is only £17.50, reduced from £24.99.
Check out their lovely items, by visiting their site: Little Mistress
If you don't want to order online, they have concessions in some New Look stores, Debenhams and House of Fraser.

Cloud 9 Creating Waves

As promised in my previous Cloud Nine Iron's review (which you can read here), this is my first in my 'mini-series' of posts, by offering a step-by-step guide on how I create certain looks using Cloud Nine irons!
First up is waves.
I created this look by blow drying my hair to give a little volume at the roots, then sectioning off my hair so I just had a small layer to style at a time. Obviously, how thick the layers are depends on how thick you want the waves to be, so this is down to personal choice. I sectioned mine into 1-2 inch sections for this look.
With each section, I gripped the hair in the iron (as though I was going to straighten the hair) and twisted the hair over, then under, then over, and so on, until I reached the bottom of my section of hair. This creates a ripple effect with the hair. Once each layer was complete I sprayed with hairspray to hold the waves.
On the next layer of hair, I did the exact same thing, except I would start by twisting under, then over, (the same as before but in the opposite direction first). This creates a little extra volume, especially at the root of the hair.
Once all the layers were complete, I messed up the waves a little, and added more hairspray.
All in all, this took me around 30 minutes, and with my thick hair, I achieved the look using the Cloud Nine's on 150°C

My Interview Face

...Following on from what I wore to my interview (which you can see here), I thought I would show you a close up of my makeup. Like I said in the previous post, I kept it simple and natural looking.

Interview Attire

I had my second interview today for a fashion assistant manager retail role, so I thought I would show you what I wore!
I'm sorry it's such a terrible picture :( My camera flash seems to be failing on me.
Dress - New Look
Cardigan - George at Asda
Studded T-bar Pumps - Topshop
Watch - Oasis
Ring - Primark

I was also wearing a ribbon and beaded necklace, but I forgot I had taken it off... oops!
I kept my makeup pretty simple and wore my old faithful Mac Creme Cup on my lips and Barry M Mint Green on my nails for a pop of bright colour.
You can view my 'face of the day' here!
I wore my hair in a center parting and styled with my Cloud 9's.

My Summer Must-Haves $

With Summer finally here, I thought I would share with you all, a list of my must-have items for the summer months.
Apart from the obvious things like sun cream and water, these are the things I feel like I need...
Pastel Nail Polish
Barry M - OPI - Nails Inc - Models Own - Paul & Joe
 Fake Tan
I'm the type of person who finds it hard to sit in the sun, so I never really get a tan. This is why I choose to fake it, using some of these tanners.
Deoderant & Body Spray
(For obvious reasons! Nobody wants to smell!)
 Sunglasses
I own loads of sunglasses, but these are the ones I have bought most recently. I always buy cheap ones because I just fling them in my bag so I'm not too worried about them getting scratched or breaking.
Primark
Lip Balm
I always find I need this as much in the summer months as I do in winter, I love to keep my lips nice and soft with a good selection of lip balms.
Hissyfit - Palmers - Body Shop - Pop! Petal Jam - Jelly Belly - Superdrug
Florals
You can't beat a floral dress or cardigan to make yourself feel extra summery! This is just a very small selection of my floral print clothes!
Sandals
I seem to be building up quite a good collection of sandals and flip flops... this again shows just a few of my current favourites.

What are your summer must-haves?

Drum Roll Please...

So last week I closed the giveaway in which I was giving away three fabulous sets of Miss Bollywood Eyebrow Shapers.
Sorry it's taken me a while to name the winners, I've been a little busy!
I chose the winners by using random.org, and I am pleased to announce the following people are the lucky ones who will each receive the same prize... in no particular order...

Congratulations Girlies!
I will email you all now for your addresses xx

Topshop Wishlist

I went into Topshop today, and I was overwhelmed at how amazing their stock is at the moment, I literally would have bought half the shop if I could have!
These are the things I really love...
All items here are currently available from Topshop

Jeans... Yay or Nay?

Can you believe I only own one pair of jeans?!
I just feel more 'me' in leggings, a skirt or a dress.
Another reason that I don't wear jeans, is that they are so hard to find in the right size, every shop has a different cut or sizing in jeans, and I'm the kind of person who walks into a shop, picks up what I want, and leaves (after paying of course!) I can never be bothered trying things on, and even if I did and I tried a pair of jeans on in my regular clothing size, if they were too small I would be depressed for the rest of the day!
I'm thinking of getting some more though, just for versatility in my wardrobe, and I was wondering if you think I actually suit them... In your honest opinion?
I don't really believe these jeans even fit me properly... I don't think they should be that baggy around the legs, although the waist pretty much fits. (Another reason I don't wear jeans - I'm never happy in them!)
I do like jeans though, I absolutely love denim, so if you guys tell me I suit them, maybe I should own some more...
Can any of you recommend me some places to buy jeans, which are normal sizing, and not too pricey!
FYI these were from Topshop about two years ago.
Also in the picture I'm wearing a New Look ribbed vest, Primark floral cardigan bangle from Miss Selfridge and beads from Topshop.

Whats In My Wardrobe [part 1]

I have seen quite alot of girls doing a 'tag' post about the ten most worn items in their wardrobe, I thought this was right up my street, but when I tried to pick ten items of clothing... I just couldn't!
So, instead, I have decided to do a few different posts on some of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe.
I will try and dot these out over the next few weeks, so you don't get bored!

First up, my basics...
...not the boring basics like vest tops and leggings, but things I tend to wear ALOT, but in different ways.

I know what you're thinking... is that just the same thing six times?...
Well, kind of, yes!
These are my Topshop jersey material tunic dresses, they are Oh So flattering and I love them!
They are the most wearable, versatile things I have ever had in my wardrobe. I can dress them up or down, wear them with tights, leggings, cardigans, belts, jackets, boots, heels, flats... practically anything!
On their own they are the perfect little summer dress which you can dress up a bit with some jewellery, and in the winter, they go great over leggings and Uggs with a leather jacket on top.
The first two (from left) are slightly different to the other four. The first being sleeveless, with a frill of fabric going down each side to the waist. The second having a frill around the neck and a low cut back.
The remaining four are all exactly the same, with the little rouched sleeves and elasticated waist.

They ranged from £16 (for the plain ones) to £28 (for the patterned ones) and I have easily had my monies worth out of every single one of them. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to be seen wearing the same thing over and over again, but with these, I don't feel like I am, because I can just simply team them up with something a little different each time.
What are your favourite basics?
