Whilst strolling around York last week, feeling a little lost and not knowing what I was actually looking for, something caught my eye. A stunning window display, with beautiful clothes, lighting and colours.
The shop was called Joy, and after a good mooch around the shop, drooling over the dresses and accessories, because I was simply spoilt for choice, and couldn't decide what I wanted to buy, I made a note of their website address.
The clothes are very on trend, but with a slight quirkiness and unique edge to them. The shop certainly drew me in, and I think that was the main reason why. The window display was like something I had never seen before, a treasure trove of fashion! The clothes themselves are similar to what you might find on the high street, but with a one of a kind twist, everything is really affordable, and great quality.
When I had a look on their website that night, I was really interested in their upcoming collection.
The collection reminds me of those lovely charity shop, vintage finds which you read about on other people's blogs, but then can never find anything like in your own local shops! Fearne Cotton meets Alexa Chung style, which is something I know I crave!
My favourite items in particular are the hat and jumper in the first photo, the parka in the picture above, and the dress below. I can totally imagine myself wearing all of them, and I've found myself outfit building in my head before I even own them! My wishlist for the current stock on the website is quite a hefty one too!
Joy cater for men as well as women in the fashion and accessories departments, as well as stocking some great gifts.
You can find your nearest store here, become a fan on Facebook here or shop online here, where they are currently offering free delivery on orders over £70.
If you buy anything before I do, be sure to let me know what you treated yourself to!
