Loved Up

 Playsuit: H by Henry Holland
Vintage style Lace cardigan: George at Asda (care of charity shop)
Hat: Primark
Belt: New Look
Bracelet: New Look
(Click photos to enlarge)
Sorry for the picture spam, I couldn't decide which pictures showed off the outfit best!
More warm weather means my white pins are out once again... and another hat graces my head. I can't get enough of hats this year, I still need to track down a floppy felt/wool one though.

This is the first piece of clothing I've ever bought from H by Henry Holland, and I really love it, the heart print is so cute. I got this from a concessions area in my local Debenhams, I'll most likely be purchasing some more from his collection shortly.

I've taken a bit of inspiration from the gorgeous blog Jazzabelle's Diary, and started scouring charity shops for bargains. To be fair, the charity shops in my area aren't great, and you have to be kind of patient if you want to find a bargain, but I think this cardigan was a good start. It was only £2, and I think it goes just fine with this outfit. It reminds me a bit of something Fearne Cotton would wear.
Hopefully I'll be showing you some more bargain finds soon!
If you know of any good charity shops in the North East, please let me know :)

Monday Mugshot #5

I hate this heat. Sorry to be boring and talk about the weather, but I really can't cope in weather this hot. Today I tied my hair up in a top knot to keep myself as cool as possible, and wore a vest and hareems to work, not exactly the most fashionable of outfits, but I just didn't want to be too hot! I never go abroad because I don't like the sun, which is also why I'm so pale... I'm definitely a sitting in the shade kinda gal!

Although, I fake tanned last night for the first time in years! You can't tell in this picture, 'coz I took it on my webcam, but I'm actually looking quite bronzed (compared to how I usually look anyway!)
I'm planning a little series of fake tan reviews soon, so look out for my Xen Tan one coming soon :)

I've been at work all day (again), it's been such a busy one as well. We've been launching our Summer sale, and it's MASSIVE. Loads of nice things have been marked down, so I really recommend you get yourself to New Look to spend your pennies tomorrow! (Come to my store - say hi!)
I've only been approached twice by people who read my blog, and it's so nice. Check out Nicola's blog... she's a regular in my shop, and so lovely!

Sorry this week's Monday Mugshot is short and sweet, but I really must get some sleep before tomorrow xx

Glasto Style

Glastonbury 2011 is happening! These are my favourite looks at the festival so far...

My favourite outfit I've seen, has to be this one, worn by Caroline Flack. She has added a little bit of designer into the  mix, with her Mulberry bag, gone cute and girly with the pretty playsuit and floppy hat, smartened herself up with a blazer and made everything look a little bit quirky with the bow belt, knee high socks and the lace up wellies. I would, without a doubt, wear this entire outfit.

I'm not the biggest fan of Coleen Rooney, but this, for me, is definitely her at her best. Dressed down, and looking normal. I really like the fringed shorts, and how she's added a touch of 'glamourous Coleen' with her trademark sunglasses.

Another peoson, who I usually say is overrated, Alexa Chung, but I really like both of her outfits here. I really must get my hands on one of these hats, they're so versatile and perfect for hiding unwashed festival hair!
Lastly, the festival essential - Hunter wellies.
This picture was tweeted by Coleen Rooney of her and Wayne's wellies. I love her's with the buckle and leopard print lining.

Are you going to any festivals this year?
I really wish I was going to V!

Pretty Pink

Ever since Accessorize released their make up range, I've wanted to try their blushers.
I initially looked at the range online, but I prefer to swatch products before I buy, so I set upon a mission to track the products down.

Weirdly enough, Accessorize the store doesn't sell the products, it is only available in larger Superdrug stores (in my area, at least).
When I did find the range in one of the Superdrugs near where I live, they didn't have any blushers left. This was around 6 months ago, and every time I went back to that Superdrug and looked, they hadn't ever re-stocked.

Last month, I asked a member of staff when they would be getting them back in, and she told me Accessorize had discontinued their range.
After mentioning this on Twitter, a lot of people told me this wasn't true, so I'm not too sure whether she just meant in that particular store...
Anyway, the lovely Lorin offered to buy me the blusher and post it to me. (Go follow her blog!)

When it arrived, I was so excited to try it out. It really is a gorgeous colour!
As you can see, it is similar to some of the Mac mineralised products in the way the colours are swirled together and in the way the product is a dome shape.
The packaging is also really beautiful, I love the colours, and the little butterfly designs on the lid!
When swatched, the blush is very pigmented.
It is a very delicate pinky peach colour, with a slight shimmer.
On my pale skin, it is a really lovely colour which gives quite a natural flush to my skin.

I have also been using it as a highlight, alongside my Mac 'So Sweet, So Easy' Cremeblend Blush.
I would definitely recommend this!

Have you got anything from the Accessorize makeup range?

Fearne for Very

These are my favourite pieces from Fearne Cotton's collection for Very.
Ok, so it's practically the whole collection, but that's because it is amazing and I love Fearne and everything about the way she dresses and styles herself.

My favourite items in the collection are (if I had to choose)...
The blue blouse in the first picture, I can just imagine it going with anything and everything.
The dress in the third picture, so pretty and feminie, yet not too fussy.
The vintage lacey cardigan in the seventh picture - I may have to buy this!
The entire outfit in the eighth picture, perfect for a day in a beer garden, a bbq or a casual night out.

So, if any of you want to treat me (or yourself) to any of these beauties, you can find them on the Very website.
Hurry though, lots of these bits are in the sale already!

Back To Reality

Leather Shorts: Topshop
Leopard Print Top: New Look
Fairy Necklace: Miss Selfridge
Ring: Topshop

This has to be one of my favourite outfits I've worn in a while, ironic, because it's so simple! Basically shorts & a tshirt... I guess the old faithful styles never fail.

Ive had these shorts about 7 months now, and still can't get enough of them. I would literally wear them everyday if I could. I want some more, in a slightly different style, so let me know if you know where I can get some from please :)

This might actually be the first time I've had my legs out on my blog, if not, it's the first time in a long time, and you can probably tell... they're practically transparent! So yep, fake tan recommendations also please! I have no choice, I don't tan for real, ever. I just burn, and then go back to white. It's rubbish!

Sorry about the glare off the sun in my first two pictures, not really sure what happened there.

Hype this look on my Lookbook.
Or give me your vote on Chictopia xx

Monday Mugshot #4

These Monday Mugshot posts seem to come round so fast!
I've been working all day again today, this is my excuse for looking so tired in this pic... but I'm looking forward to having tomorrow off! Looks like I need it!

I've started reading again. I used to read loads, but when I had my baby, I felt like I didn't ever have chance. Now she's growing up, she can play and entertain herself so it's nice to have a bot of quiet time.
I'm reading Getting Rid Of Matthew by Jane Fallon, and so far, it's really good!

I've also listed more clothes, some books and an iPulse for sale in my blog shop so have a nosey to see if there's anything you want! I'm going to be constantly listing on there and ebay over the next couple of days.

For those of you who asked for a recipe for my cookies, I added it to my previous post (just incase you hadn't noticed)... we have managed to munch through all the cookies and the cakes I baked already! That is between four of us though, so not tooooo bad I guess!

Hope you're all well, thanks for reading and HELLO to my new followers :) xxx

Nail Polish Purchases

Because a girl can never have too many nail polishes, I decided to take advantage of Boots 3 for 2 offer, and treated myself to some new Models Own colours.

Models Own are one of my favourite brands when it comes to nail polish, they always seem to be great quality, beautiful colours which last a long time on the nails. Plus they're always releasing new ones, so I can never get enough!

I bought 'Mystic Mauve', 'Juicy Jules' and 'Champagne'.

I am yet to use these yet, but have swatched them all and I am loving them so far! (Especially Mystic Mauve, it looks gorgeous!)

Let me know if there are any Models Own polishes you recommend, and let me know which you want to see featured in a 'nail of the day' post :)

I also took advantage of the offer on Sally Hansen products, which was buy one, get one half price.

I haven't managed to find a top coat which can withstand my work and  looking after horses and a baby on a day to day basis, as of yet, so I'm hoping one of these will do the trick. I hate having chipped nails :(

I know I haven't done many beauty related posts lately, as I have been concentrating on the fashion side of things, but do you like a bit of beauty thrown in too? Let me know xx

Take Me Back

New Look denim hotpants

This is just one of those, so easy to throw on, super comfy outfits. On days when I'm not at work (which is a rarity at the moment) and days where I'm not going out, this is the kind of thing I like to wear, although looking at these pictures (which I took three days ago), makes me feel a bit hot today! Its been so sunny and warm up here, if the weather carries on this way, I'll be retiring the jumper until the colder months return.

My hair looks a bit blah in these pictures too, it was channeling the whole 'look' though I guess. You can probably tell I hadn't done alot with it!

I'm definitely loving the outdoor outfit photos now too. I'm going to try and do this type of thing all through the good weather, I like the interesting settings and the AMAZING lighting. It makes my indoor photos seem really bad quality. I just wish I had some sort of city setting to play with too.

Monday Mugshot #3

I know this is supposed to be the Monday mugshot, but I had already blogged yesterday, plus my hair was a mess, it was getting dark etc etc... so please forgive me that I'm posting this on a Tuesday!
I look a bit white here, but it was getting dark again, so had to go near a window to get a decent picture!

Had such a stressful day at work today, loads to do and not enough hours to do it in... so I've got another busy one ahead of me tomorrow. I seemed to spend most of today helping people choose outfits for holidays or nights out, they were making me so jealous! I have a day off on Friday though, I'm definitely looking forward to that.

Not much else to update on really, it's all same old stuff at the moment. My boyfriend and my little girl have both been poorly, so other than working, Ive just been taking care of them.

If you haven't already voted for me in the Very V-Team Competition, I would really appreciate your vote. You can vote for me by liking the Very Facebook page, clicking the V-Team link on the side, searching for 'Tor' and voting for me. You can see what my entry looks like, by having a look at my previous blog post.

Thanks so much xx

When I Grow Up...

Do you remember when you were younger, watching people on TV, and thinking to yourself, 'I want to be just like that when I grow up'?
And now that you're grown up, have you ever taken the time to look back at the women you aspired to become, the hair styles you wanted and the wardrobes you would have done anything to raid?

These are the people who's style I wanted to steal...
Kelly Kapowski
I think every girl who watched Saved By The Bell wanted to be Kelly! She had the best dress sense, the best hair (omg her hair!) and the best boyfriend... Zack Morris mmmm!
What's weird when looking back at these pictures, Kelly would probably get away with dressing that way now, and be classed as trendy. It all comes back around... the big hair, the floral print denim, the cropped tops etc.
Yes, I still want to be Kelly Kapowski!
Clarissa Darling
Clarissa Explains It All was one of my favourite tv shows. Alot of you are probably too young to remember all of these, but Clarissa really was too cool!
She embraced 80s fashion (although the show was on in the 90s) and I definitely used her as inspiration for my clothes when I was around 10-12 years old. Although, I wasn't quite as brave with my choices.
Jessica & Elizabeth Wakefield
These two were the beauties who never got it wrong. Jessica dressed alot more sexy than her twin, but they both catered for different styles. They had the perfect toned abs, and the perfect poker straight blonde hair... just what every teen wanted to be like!
Cher from Clueless
Now, I'm sure you all know who Cher is! I actually still love some of her outfits now! Super trendy, even for school in her over the knee socks, mini skirts and tank tops. Although, if everyone had a computer to help select their outfits, noone would ever get it wrong!

Who did you want to be..?
