Rimmel Lycra Pro: Peppermint // Models Own: Top Turquoise
This is my first entry in a mini series of posts about my favourite Spring/Summer nail polishes. First up, as you have probably guessed by now, is the green polishes. I'm loving minty greens at the moment, they're so fresh and cool, which is perfect for when the warmer weather finally arrives.
Nails Inc 'Haymarket' is a very bright mint green shade, the perfect polish for statement nails. As with all Nails Inc polishes I have used, the quality of this polish is amazing, you only need two coats (at most), and it lasts ages without chipping.
Barry M 'Mint Green' is the mint green shade which most people have used/seen. It's a lovely pale, pastel green shade, very summery and pretty. Barry M products are available to buy in pretty much all Boots and Superdrug stores, so snap yourself one up next time you're shopping... I can guarantee that pretty much everyone will be wanting this for Summer, just like last year.
Miners 'Moroccan Mint' is the coolest tone of these polishes, it borderlines on being a blue polish. It's a light but bright shade, which I love to use on my toes for the perfect flash of colour when wearing sandals.
Rimmel Lycra Pro 'Peppermint' is one of the longest lasting polishes I have ever used. This is the case with all of the shades in this range, because they contain lycra, they don't chip or fade much at all, and feel almost like plastic on the nails. It's very hard to describe, but I love it, and definitely want to get myself more of these polishes. On the nails, the polish comes out quite a bit brighter than it looks in the bottle, it's reminds me of mint flavour ice cream - gorgeous!
Models Own 'Top Turquoise' is the darkest and deepest colour of my choices. But S/S nails don't all have to be pastels... it is also the time for brights! It is a greeny turquoise shade which is gorgeous for holiday nails. If you imagine the colour of the most perfect sea... this is it! Models own polishes are one of my favourite brands too... you can't go wrong with these!
Do you have, or are you going to purchase any of these polishes in time for Summer?
