Boots & Superdrug Haul

Over the past month or so, I have bought quite a few things from Superdrug and Boots.
It's rare that I post about new makeup and beauty items on here, but as I've got quite a lot of new things to speak about, I decided to share my little 'haul' with you.

First up, I'm sure you have seen these allover Blogger and YouTube, it's the Maybelline Colour Tattoo eyeshadows. As you may, or may not know, I'm not a lover of eyeshadow. I have quite hooded eyelids, so in general, I don't suit it. However, after hearing so much about these, I really wanted to give them a go. When I eventually managed  to track down the colours I liked (didn't want the bright blue!) I had a little swatch and a little think, then went back and bought these three little beauties. I'm really, really impressed. The consistency is a cross between a mousse and a gel, and the name isn't far wrong; once applied, they really are like tattoos! The colour doesn't budge. I must add, that I really am a good test for this too… because of my hooded eyelids, even when I apply a primer, eyeshadows generally crease and come off my lids. These are the first eyeshadows that I can truly say, are perfect for me. They are lovely and creamy too, which makes them great to apply and blend. I've worn these for my last few nights out, and I will continue to do so.
I bought the colours On and On Bronze, Permanent Taupe and Eternal Silver which I have been using in my inner corner.

Loreal Dating Coral lipstick. When I swatched this in the shop, I thought it was going to be perfect for a night out lipstick, it seemed so bright and bold. When I got it home and used it on my lips however, I was quite disappointed. It's really sheer on the lips, so I have been using it for a daytime lipstick. It's not all bad though, the colour is very pretty, and it is really moisturising . I'm really looking forward to going back to swatch a few more shades of these lipsticks.

Real Techniques brushes. I bought these on the three for two offer in Boots. I'd heard so many good things about these brushes, I knew I had to have them. I'm still yet to use these, but I will share my views on them once I've given them a go if you would like me to! I bought the Core Collection, Powder Brush, Blush Brush & Stippling Brush.

Maybelline Express Finish Nail Varnish in 'Flash Cosmic'. This is another item that I had been looking for for a while. It's beautiful as a top coat over almost any colour polish, and leaves a subtle sparkly finish which is almost holographic… it's difficult to explain. I am planning on writing a blog post all about it, so I will be able to show you more in that.

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover. For anyone who hates taking their nail varnish off, this is a must have! It is basically a pot filled with a sponge which is drenched in nail polish remover. The sponge has a hole in the middle, where you insert your nail, twist it round and the nail varnish comes off. It claims to give '1 second instant removal'… I don't agree with this. For a regular nail varnish, I'd say 3-5 seconds… but who would bother complaining about that?! It's still amazing! It doesn't remove glitter polishes though, which I am a bit gutted about, because everyone knows they're a nightmare to take off. (Unless you use the tin foil trick!)
I do love this though, and will definitely buy another when this runs out. It's mess free and loads quicker than any other method of nail varnish removal. It contains nourishing sweet almond oil, which is great for nails and cuticles. It also claims to be red fruit and vanilla fragrance… not so sure on this either, but I will say it doesn't stink like other nail varnish removers usually do.

Models Own Indian Ocean Polish. As soon as I saw the press release about the new additions to the Beetlejuice collection, I decided this one had to be mine! The mixture of colours are so pretty and summery. In certain lights the polish looks blue, pink, gold… which is why I like it so much, it's always changing. It is quite a subtle polish, and looks better layered on top of another colour. I've only tried it with a few colours, but my favourite options so far are with white or mint green polish underneath.

Have you bought any nice beauty products recently?

(Sorry I accidentally posted these pictures as a blog post yesterday... oops!)

Tie Dye Leggings

Jumper: Topshop // Leggings: Oasap // Jewellery: Miss Selfridge & Topshop

I'm still really loving tie dye... yet to try dying anything myself though, but that is on my to-do list. When Oasap said I could choose a couple of items to feature on here, these leggings were the first things I picked. I love how they are an even combination of pretty/summery wear and still quite edgy and different. They're not your run of the mill patterned leggings that are seen everywhere at the moment... not sure about all of you, but I'm getting a bit sick of seeing people in the leopard/aztec/striped leggings lately.

When I ordered these, I could see the perfect outfit in my head. I want to wear them when I'm tanned, with some chunky silver jewellery and a really long, baggy, black, racer back vest... but I don't have the perfect vest! If you know where I can get one, please let me know. It's always the simple things that you assume you can buy anywhere, that I can never find! Annoying!
I do like them with this jumper too, although it's a knit, it's really cool to wear in the warm weather too, so I've been wearing it loads over the past few weeks. I featured it in a previous outfit post too, if you haven't seen it before.

I bought my rings recently, but I'm not saying too much on these, as I have a jewellery haul post planned for next week, so pop back for that if you want to know more about them!

Thank you to Oasap for sending me these leggings, they're such lovely quality and I know I'm going to get lots of wear out of them. If like me, you'd never heard of Oasap before, I'd really recommend their site to any of you, they sell a massive range of clothes and accessories. If you want to order from their site, just click the advert near the top of my sidebar >>>
They are offering 20% off your first order at the moment and they offer FREE worldwide shipping! (Great excuse to treat yourself!)
There's a bag and a dress that I've got my eye on for payday!

Bird Print Dress

Dress: Topshop Concessions // Vest (worn underneath): Miss Selfridge // Boots: Internacionale

This is what I wore to my friend's baby shower last week. It was a bit of an impulse purchase. I had tried this dress on a few months ago, and decided against it because of the neckline being very low, and the price. However, it was in the sale for only £10, and the low neck was nothing a vest or cami would't solve!

The dress isn't available on the Topshop website anymore, but you can get it from the Oh My Love website for £20, which is still half price, so still cheap enough!

I really like the dress on, but as I mentioned, the neckline is much too low for me. I think if you have quite a small chest it will be fine without, but I had to put a vest top underneath to make it decent enough to wear in public. I also think that on most people, the cinched in waistline under the boobs will make the dress really flattering, but I think it possibly makes me look bigger? Or maybe I was just having a fat day!

I've been wearing these super comfy shoe boots lots recently, they instantly make an outfit look a lot smarter, and don't feel as high as they look - which is always nice.

Thanks to everyone who voted for my blog on Bloggers.com yesterday, I was featured on their homepage!

Floral Blouse & Dipped Hem Maxi

Entire Outfit : Internacionale

This is what I wore to work today, it was a little bit too summery for today's weather to be honest, but it's an outfit I really love.

This is the longest dipped hem skirt I own, and it's currently my favourite, probably because due to the sporadic weather, it always seems suitable. I have had a bit of trouble finding tops which I think go well with the skirt, but the few tops I do have which go, seem to be the perfect partners for it. Anything loose fitting, that can tuck in seems to be the best style.

I bought this blouse with the skirt in mind, but I love it on it's own too. It is actually a dipped hem top, and it has an exposed zip half way down the back... I've got my heart set on it for when the warmer weather makes an appearance, it will look so cute with denim shorts!

As you probably know, I love Internacionale - it's got so much nice stock, I strongly recommend that you pop in next time you're passing. Everything is bang on trend, and so cheap! The blouse was £12.99 and the skirt was £16.99 - bargains! Even better news, for those of you who don't have an Internacionale near where you live, there is an online store opening in the next few weeks... I'm going to be skint!

I posted a couple of photos of this on my Instagram today too... follow me @thatspeachy

Ombre Leopard Print Dress

Dress: Lavish Alice // Clutch Bag: H&M // Necklace: H&M // Rings: Miss Selfridge

Sorry I've been a little bit AWOL for the past few days... no real reason, I've just been a bit busier than usual. This post is a bit of a cheat, it's not really an 'outfit post', but I really wanted to show you what I wore on Saturday night.

I was out with my friends from work, for an 18th birthday. I'd been looking for the perfect dress for a couple of weeks, when I came across this bad boy!

When dress shopping, I have a few rules;
-no bodycon dresses
-no cut out sides
-no boobtube/sleeveless styles
-no backless
This is all personal preference, and basically I know what I suit, so I know what I'm looking for. Since having a baby, I'm not exactly 'body confident' so if I know the areas I don't like are covered, I'm much more confident and happy.
Believe it or not, it's very hard to find dresses that match all of these points, especially the sleeveless one... you may have noticed, pretty much everything (dresses and tops) are sleeveless at the moment, it's a nightmare. I know Summer is approaching and it's going to be warm, but not everyone likes having their bingo wings out!

Anyway, as soon as I found this dress, I knew it was the one. I love the colours, and the style was perfect. When it arrived I was really happy, the fabric is quite heavy weight, so when it's on, it feels like it hangs really nicely. I'll definitely be shopping with Lavish Alice again!

For my night out I wore Crazy Angel fake tan - which is amazing, and teamed my dress with a tan and bright orange clutch bag, silver spike necklace and big silver rings.

What do you wear on nights out?
Would you like to see more of these kind of outfits?
