Today was the first day of the year where it has felt like the bad weather is finally behind us and that Summer might be on it's way. The sun had it's hat on, and it was actually quite warm to match, so it seemed like the perfect excuse to drag my little family out for a day in Scarborough.
If you're never visited Scarborough (or Scarbados as I like to call it), it's a gorgeous sea side town on the North Yorkshire coast. I used to holiday there every year when I was younger, so it holds some lovely memories for me, and if you catch it on a nice day, there are lots of lovely things to do.
We walked along the sea front, ate delicious ice creams (I had toffee fudge flavour and my boyfriend had rhubarb crumble flavour), watched the boats coming in and out, played on the slot machines, ate bacon sarnies & visited the Sealife Center (the penguins and otters are so cute!).
Next time we go, we'll be travelling by open top bus, donkey riding, having a chill out in the boating lake, playing some crazy golf and I might even have a paddle in the sea.
Have you ever been to Scarborough?
Scarborough looks so cute!

I love scarborough. I used to go when I was younger and I went back last year and relived my childhood.
ReplyDeleteSealife Centre is a must :).

It's a lot busier than I'd thought! I'm hoping the weather stays good, I've fancied staying near the seaside for a while. I read there's an old fashioned log flume too that's meant to be good :) x
