With Glastonbury 2013 well underway, I couldn't resist but make my latest 'Outfit Under £50' post specific to the iconic festival.
Festival season is my favourite part of Summer, mainly because of the fashion and a little bit because of the music. I've already been drooling over Caroline Flack's outfits this year!
Unfortunately, with the weather at the moment, a parka jacket might be a necessity to add to this outfit, but if the sun comes out, then I think I've found the ideal festival outfit for Glastonbury!
The first thing I chose was the amazing strappy vest from Fashion Union; I absolutely love the detailing of the straps on the back (which would look amazing with a tan), and I think monochrome is the most chic, yet easy to wear colour palette ever.
The vest would look brilliant tucked into, or over the top of the shorts from Matalan, which are the perfect style to dress down at a festival, yet get plenty of wear out of afterwards.
Of course for a festival, you need wellies, and I think these bright blue pair would be the perfect pop of colour for the outfit... apparently they glow in the dark too - perfect for the late night shows!
For accessories, I had £15 left, which I split almost evenly between a big statement necklace and a bag.
The necklace is the perfect monochrome/ombre mash up for this outfit, and tassels and fringing give the perfect 70's hippie vibe for Glasto.
Lastly, I thought a bum bag would be perfect for all of your festival essentials; a mini body spray, mini dry shampoo, lip balm, phone and some cash - then you're good to go. Also with a bum bag, your belongings are pretty safe and secure... this one is bang on trend too!
What do you think of this outfit?
Would you wear it to Glastonbury?
