Veil Cover Cream Light/Medium Sample Kit
If you have tattoos, scars, acne, birthmarks or any other marks on your skin that you sometimes want to cover, then keep reading. This may be what you have been searching for.
Veil supplied sample kits for the FABB Manchester event, and I couldn't wait to put it to the test.
I have a tattoo on my wrist, which I love, but unfortunately it isn't the best tattoo in the world (if you're thinking of getting a tattoo, find a really good artist and don't just go into the first shop you come across - lesson learned!) and I like to have it covered for work or for interviews, things like that. I usually wear a watch on my wrist when I want it covering, or a few bracelets, but this is a much better option.
The sample kit comes in two colours 'light/medium' or 'medium/dark', each has a large range of cream samples in various shades so that you can find your perfect colour match and a powder to set the cream. The kits retail at £6.50 each, which Veil will reimburse off your next purchase from their website - such a great idea!
I gave this a try at covering my tattoo, I seemed to be an in-between shade so I used a bit of 'Vanilla' and a bit of 'Natural-light' to cover the tattoo. The creams are a similar consistency to Benefit Erase Paste; very thick and quite tacky and sticky. I applied the creams using my fingers and patted it into place, they're really build able and easy to blend. The above pictures show the tattoo covered with the cream (where you can see it a little bit) and then the last picture was taken after I had finished covering the tattoo with the cream and the translucent powder (which I applied with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush).
I'm really impressed, the tattoo has completley disappeared. If you didn't now there was a tattoo there, you would never notice that I was wearing makeup on my arm either, which is a definite bonus.
Do you have to cover your tattoos for your job, or do you have any scars you like to hide?
