Same Jacket; Worn Two Ways

Bonprix's television advert is going to be bursting onto out tv screen's for the first time this week, and to celebrate, they challenged me to style an item of clothing from their website for a couple of different occasions.
I chose to style something which is quite different from anything I own, just to make it that little bit harder for myself, and went with the maroon leather look jacket. The colour is perfect for AW season, and I have given it a dressed up and a dressed down look.
Firstly, the dressed up look. I have styled this for a cold night out, maybe a Christmas party. The jacket is smart enough to wear for an evening as a cover up, and would look great teamed with this all black, dressy outfit. You wouldn't look out of place wearing this together to walk into town for drinks, and with the spikes on the shoes, they give the outfit a slightly edgier feel.
For a more dressed down outfit, I styled the jacket for a typical day's shopping, a day where comfort is key, but looking good and being stylish is a close second. I went for a real simple look, with a monochrome blouse, panelled leggings and biker boots - this makes the colour of the jacket really stand out and be the statement piece, although if you wanted to create a slightly more matched up look, the boots also come in a maroon colour, which goes with the jacket perfectly.

Which look do you prefer?
If maroon isn't the colour for you, the jacket is also available in black, tan and other bright colours.

  1. Love this post, such great outfit choices on how to wear the jacket! Also the jacket is gorge! x

  2. I have been tempted by a coloured leather jacket lately, it would be something I think would lend itself to a lot of different outfit possibilities.

  3. I love the dress on the first post!

I live in my biker - not sure if i'm brave enough to get a coloured one.
