Another windy outfit post I'm afraid... I guess I should just be happy it wasn't raining!
Anyway, who says you can't wear long skirts in Winter? I grabbed this beauty from the Primark sale ages ago for a tiny £5 (as if they have sales by the way, bargains ahoy!), mainly because of the colour - I love this maroon/plum colour. I had no plans of when or where I would wear it, but for a fiver, I couldn't resist. While browsing Katy's blog a few weeks ago, I felt a little dash of inspiration when I saw her in a maxi skirt... outfit ideas starting rushing through my head, and then I remembered about the skirt I hadn't worn. Fast forward a few days, and this outfit is the finished result.
I wasn't too sure how the skirt would work with tights, but because of the wind, I didn't want to risk flashing too much leg. I actually think it looks fine though, probably because of the colour... can't go wrong with maroon and black in my opinion. I decided to wear this loose fitting lurex jumper because of the way it sits, and I thought the bright, yet subtle colours on the jumper would work well with the skirt. Finally I added a little 'edge' to the look with my cut out boots and a studded backpack from Bank. I do have to say it's one of my favourite outfits I've worn in a while.
I'm planning on doing a bit of a blog sale of clothes and makeup via Instagram tomorrow night, so if you want to check that out, make sure you're following me 'thatspeachy'.
I just want to say sorry again for the lack of blog posts this week, I'm SO busy, I have blog stuff, FABB stuff, Mammy stuff, Family stuff, work stuff and more going on right now. I do have a little video coming up on my YouTube channel to explain a bit more about where I've been, and I'll write a quick post up over the weekend too.
