Jacket: New Look
Boots: Office (direct link)
First outfit post of 2014, can't quite believe it's taken me almost two weeks, but I've been having major lighting problems. I am definitely investing in some soft box lights when I get paid, after a little bit of research, it sounds like they will be a lifesaver!
I've worn a variation of this outfit about three times already this year, the skirt and the jacket are absolute winners for me. I bought the jacket about three years ago in the New Look sale for £15 (such a bargain hunter!) and I've fallen back in love with it after realising it's a pretty decent Acne dupe and the fact that it's super cosy and warm despite being a cropped bomber jacket - best of both worlds! And then the skirt, well where do I start, I just love this skirt so much... I've been wanting a leather skirt for ages now, and I'm so pleased I waited for this one. The asymmetric bottom, the zips and the green stitching all team up to make the skirt of dreams, it's such a statement.
I think an item which steals the show in a way that this skirt does needs pairing with much simpler items, which is why I went for the classic white shirt, a complete contrast to the skirt which compliments it entirely. Of course I couldn't resist wearing some form of edgy, chunky boots though... my must have/signature look, you may recognise these from my Christmas Present Haul.
Now bring on the light nights so I can shoot my outfits more often!
