A few weeks ago I attended a bloggers event in my hometown of Middlesbrough, as it's such a rarity for anything to happen for bloggers up here, I was really looking forward to it. The event was originally supposed to take place before Christmas, but I couldn't attend due to work commitments. Lucky for me, that evening the whole of Middlesbrough ended up in a blackout, so the event was rescheduled!
It was a great opportunity to catch up with some familiar faces including the beaut Amy from Floaty Lemon (who kindly let me pinch her photo of us for this post) and also to meet some new people... it always surprises me that there are so many bloggers around the North East now, when I started out it felt like noone even knew what a blog was!

The event was held at Psyche, which is a bit of a cult store up here in Middlesbrough... it's the main fashion department store in town which stocks designer brands of womenswear, menswear and childrenswear and they also have a hair salon all under the same roof. Its very glam and upmarket and completely stands out as one of a kind amongst all of the other surrounding stores.

We were introduced to the founder of Psyche, who told us a bit about how he set up the company and the aspirations and ideas he has to expand Psyche around the UK. We also got to hear from one of the womenswear buyers who showed us some beautiful upcoming SS14 pieces... I have my eye on quite a few things, including a cute printed Ted Baker two piece and a cool Central Park tee... I'll definitely have to pop back in store soon!

It was so nice to have access to the store while it was closed and have a really good look around. We all took full advantage of the huge mirrors and snapped a few selfies while admiring the clothes and endless accessories!
If you're not from the North East, you can still shop online with Psyche on their snazzy new website, but if you do ever get the chance to visit, I'd definitely recommend it!
