Coat: Miss Selfridge
I have to admit that I'm really loving the fact that 90s trends are making a comeback. I used to obsess over the outfits worn by Kelly Kapowski, Clarissa (Explains It All) and Cher from Clueless, and now I'm finding myself looking to them for inspiration allover again.
I look for any excuse to wear this coat, as I love it so much... some may think the pink coat is a bit 'over' but I'm still wearing mine at every opportunity. A monochrome outfit is the perfect base for this coat, so it simply had to be teamed with this outfit.
I have been lusting over these trousers from Oasis for ages now, and hadn't bought them because I was a bit in-between with the sizes. Fast forward two months and they've gone into the sale, plus I fit in the smaller pair - talk about a Brucey Bonus! The subtle pattern on them is really simple and chic, they fit like a glove and they look great dressed up or down (I've worn them rolled up with flat shoes too).
I love a good mix of textures in an outfit, so my ever faithful Boden top (which is also in the sale now) was the ideal top to pair with these trousers. Both prints aren't in your face, and work really well together for a bit of secret extra detailing. This is an outfit which I simply there together, that I think worked really well... I'll definitely be repeating it, plus I don't think you can go wrong with black, white and pink.
PS I know I'm not really a 90s's Kid, but it just worked for the title, so we'll roll with it ;)
