Mac lipsticks are raved about here, there and everywhere, and rightly so. If you caught my recent 'Mac Haul' blog post, you will have seen that when I went to Liverpool for FABB, I treated myself to a few bits including two lipsticks.
I went into the shop knowing that I wanted to buy Impassioned, but Costa Chic was a bit of an impulse buy, and thankfully one that I haven't lived to regret - I love it!

This is one of my first delves into the orange lips trend, as I find that I have to be either feeling really brave, or sporting a good tan to pull the look off, however I am finding that this colour really works for my paler skin tone.
Costa Chic is one of Mac's 'frost' finish lipsticks, which means is it pigmented with a shimmery finish when applied. I definitely prefer a slight shine or gloss to the lips rather than a matte finish, as I find that they work better on my lips which are prone to slight dryness, so this is perfect for me... the only thing I wouldn't rave about with this lipstick is that it doesn't last a very long time before I need to reapply. I've never used a frost finish lipstick before, so I am assuming it's the same with all of these lipsticks (correct me if I'm wrong), but it is something I can put up with due to the fact that I love to colour and the formula so much.

This lipstick is highly pigmented in a peachy coral shade, which is a truly unique colour. I find that it applies wonderfully and is a great daytime/nighttime shade. This looks beautiful worn alone, or with a gloss applied on top. I'm going to be getting lots of wear out of this one throughout the Summer!

Have you tried Costa Chic before?
I think it will look great on any skin tone, so would really recommend you at least give it a quick swatch next time you're at a Mac counter!
