This month I have discovered a new combination which works to create the perfect base for my skin. A combination of Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tanning Primer and Diorskin Nude BB Cream in '002 Medium'. After being given a tiny sample of Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch I knew that my next primer would be from them... When I read up on the products, I found the tanning version does the exact same job, whilst building up a subtle bronze effect on the skin... perfect for my pale complexion! The primer covers imperfections such as fine lines, open pores and blurs any scars or blemishes while slowly tanning the skin (very subtly, so don't worry you won't wake up orange!) It leaves my skin feeling silky soft and velvety to touch, and my makeup stays put all day.

Since the warmer weather has finally started to arrive, I've been preferring to go for a lighter base product, which is where the Dior BB Cream comes in. I only have a tiny sample from my local House Of Fraser, but I'm so impressed with this, I definitely plan on spacing out on the full size tube when this runs out. A little really does go a long way with this, and for a BB cream I am really impressed with how much coverage it gives. I've been using the second shade, but in Winter I will go for the lighter shade. I love how moisturising it feels on my skin, and compared to other BB creams I have tried, this lasts so much longer than the rest.

The last instalment for my new base is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. As with all RT brushes, its blummin' brilliant! There's not much to say about this, other than that it buffs my foundation in perfectly, if you want a flawless base, this is the tool to use!

The final makeup product which has made the cut into my favourites for the month is a product which I blogged about only a couple of weeks ago, so you probably already know my thoughts on this; Mac lipstick in Costa Chic. This is my new favourite lipstick for Spring, it is a stunning orange/peach shade, which surprisingly really flatters my skin tone.I didn't actually expect I would suit an orange coloured lipstick, but I always get compliments when I wear it, so it can't be too bad haha! If you would like to read my review and see it on my lips, you can do so by clicking here.

My favourite fragrance of the month has to be Benefit Carmella... I have been trying to get hold of this perfume for SO long now and finally managed to track it down while I was in Liverpool for FABB. Described as a floral vanilla scent, this contains notes of grapefruit, rhubarb, peony, vanilla and amber to name a few, and it's just amazing. I have been wearing this every day since I got my hands on it, now I just need to work out where I am going to get another bottle from when this one runs out. Don't you just hate when your favourite products sell out?!

I've been experimenting with quick and easy hairstyles throughout April, and the Vo5 Dry Backcomb Spray has been a lifesaver for me. A quick spritz and a scrunch into almost dry hair and the messy, big hair look is achieved without having to go through the whole shebang of backcombing and ruining the hair, what more could you ask for?! I am planning a video or blog post dedicated to this soon.

Last but definitely not least, the Leo Bancroft Ultimately Intense hair mask, which I have already talked about here. This does wonders for my dry, dead, lifeless hair... it pretty much brings it back to life with added shine and softness. It's time I got myself a big bottle of the stuff... best hair mask ever!
