The slip dress is this season's latest craze, they're in all the shops and everyone is snapping them up for the Summer. For petite girls, they're so easy to wear, you can just throw one on and you're good to go... for curvier girls it's not quite that easy. There's the dreaded bra issue, the danger of looking too 'booby' and the worry that the slip is going to cling in all of the wrong places, especially when the slip is made of silk (or similar fabric).

I've never worn a slip dress before, but fell a little bit head over heels for this monochrome beauty from Rare London, its the perfect excuse to wear black and white throughout Summer and the palm tree print is really understated, yet so on trend. I decided to experiment with the dress a little, due to the above reasons. If I wanted to wear this on it's own, I would have to size up a couple of sizes to get the desired effect, but I actually love this layered look.

I'd wear this with or without the tights, it just happened to be a little breezy the day I wore this so opted for them. The sheer top underneath was a must have for me, and I love the slightly 'punk' look it gives to the dress, with the statement necklace and my ever faithful caged sandals I'm really happy with this outfit and I'll definitely be repeating it sometime soon.

How do you style your slip dress?
