It's been two weeks since I went to see my favourite boys; Boyzone, when they played at Durham Cricket Ground. The weather was definitely not onside, which was unfortunate with is being an outdoor concert (ironically the first date of Boyzone's Summer Stadium Tour) and I spent almost four hours queuing and waiting in the pouring down rain with my boyfriend. Luckily I had kind of dressed for the weather in my Missguided poncho and I'd packed an umbrella.

When the support act, who happened to be Kian Egan from Westlife playing his first ever solo gig, came onstage, miraculously the rain stopped and the sun came out - talk about great timing! If I'm completely honest, I wasn't particularly looking forward to seeing Kian, but he opened with Westlife's 'World Of Our Own' and I found myself really enjoying his whole set.
By the time Boyzone came onstage, everyone was really psyched up and had completely forgotten about the fact that were were all soaked to the skin!
The show was amazing as always (Boyzone never disappoint), they performed some of my favourite songs 'Light Up The Night', 'Love Me For A Reason', 'Ruby' and 'Gave It All Away' and kept the jam packed full cricket ground fully entertained for almost two hours. It was pretty magical when it started to get dark and everyone had their mobile phone lights waving in the air.

Half way through the concert the boys paid tribute to the late Stephen Gately, said some beautiful words about him, told a few funny stories and had everyone raise their glasses to their 'brother Steo' before they sang their hit 'Better' with Stephen's vocals playing loud around the stadium.
The final song of the show was Ronan's number one single Life Is A Rollercoaster, which had everyone jumping up and down in the puddles - a great end to an amazing show.

As I left the concert I could hear everyone saying how much they had enjoyed the night. What I love about a Boyzone concert is that the audience is so varied, theres always lots of boyfriends, husbands, grans, mums and even children... I'd recommend it to anyone.

Thank you so much to Vype for sending me and giving me a great night.
