Sandals: New Look
When I first saw this two piece set, it reminded me of something that Lauren Pope would wear (who just so happens to be a little bit of a style crush of mine), but then between ordering it and receiving it I saw Lydia Rose Bright wearing the exact same outfit! So I guess I wasn't far wrong with the TOWIE inspiration! Lydia's was actually from Miss Selfridge, but trust me, it's the same thing ;)
I don't have the ideal figure for a cropped top, but because the skirt is high waisted I feel like I can get away with it, as it actually shows off the smallest part of my waist.
I decided to style the set quite casually and for a daytime occasion. I think my chunky sandals work really well with it, and of course I had my Primark sunnies with me (they seem to be permanently attached to my head at the moment!) I think if I was on holiday I would get away with styling this up a bit more with some heels and a clutch, but for me - casual is the way forward.
The bright yellow print is way out of my comfort zone and as a self confessed monochrome addict, I did feel very different, but different in a good way. I have been known to say that trying something you would never usually wear is a great way to be brave with fashion and to find things you love, and this is definitely the case with this set. The tropical print is great for Summertime and the little cheeky cut out in the top is a nice subtle extra detail.
How would you style this set?
Oh and sorry about the photo bombing cat!
