Benefit's new releases are always some of the most talked about and awaited in the beauty industry, and this new blusher is another one of a kind product from the brand.
Described as a 'cream to powder booster blush' this caught my attention from the word go.
As with all Benefit products it is beautifully packaged in a cute scallop edged, peachy toned pot and the product itself is almost too cute to use (I did wince a little as I smudged my finger across the design imprinted in the blush). It also smells amazing and is fragranced with peach and pomegranate but it reminds me of orange sweets I had when I was younger!
My makeup stash consists mainly of too many lipsticks and too many blushers, so this was welcomed with open arms into my collection. Cream blushes are a personal favourite of mine, I love how blendable they are, and I love the finish you can achieve... this is a cream to powder and it applies very smoothly onto the skin. Compared to other cream to powder products I have used this is much creamier to start with, but the finish is pretty much the same with a matte velvety flush of colour.
When heavily swatched this is a peachy orange, however when applied to my skin is comes across as a peachy pink shade (which I love), built up you can create a more intense colour.
The unique thing about this 'booster blush' is that it can be used as a base for powder blushes, to give a more intense 'pep up' of colour to the cheeks. I love that this is a two in one product, it means you get more for your money and it changes up the blushes you already have... who doesn't love a deal like that?!
I've enjoyed wearing this alone as shown in the photo above for a daytime pretty look, and under other blushes for nights out or more intense makeup looks.
I have found that when worn alone it can need a bit of a touch up through the day, which isn't really a problem thanks to the cute portable packaging (which has a decent sized mirror in the lid), however when worn underneath other blushes it increases staying power and the colour lasts all day.
Have you given this a go yet?
