All Items: Jane Norman

When I was a student everyone used to shop in Jane Norman, it's on trend yet affordable pieces were always top of mine and my friend's wish lists and every Saturday afternoon was spent rummaging through the rails and recreating fashion shows in the fitting rooms. Here I am many years later, still lusting after pieces from the brand. I have to admit, I wasn't so sure that Jane Norman was still around, but it is... and it's better than I remember. Looking back with a probably/hopefully more fashionable head on my shoulders I think of Jane Norman back then as being fast fashion, on the cheaper side and the things I wore back then I wouldn't actually wear now, but they've definitely moved on with the times.

The first thing, and probably top of the 'needs' for me is the black and white coordinate set. I really like the thick, almost messy check design, being black and white it will go with anything and the styling options become endless. I have a few matching sets with shorts, so this being trousers makes it more desirable, plus tapered trousers are always really flattering, I don't necessarily need another co-ord set, but due to the fact that pieces like this are so easy to wear together or alone, I think that's a good enough excuse to pick up this set!

I love jumpsuits at the moment, and with a friend's engagement coming up, plus a work's Christmas party, I have been keeping my eye out for the perfect one and this might just be it. Every year I become obsessed with burgundy clothes, so I loved this from first glance. The back is cut out around the bottom of the back with a cross over design which is really pretty and quite subtle due to the covered up front of the jumpsuit, it's a nice contrast. With chunky wedges or strappy heels this would make a lovely outfit.

Following on with my love for burgundy, I'm really drawn to this faux fur jacket. This would be perfect to wear over a cami and skinny jeans or wet look leggings for a night at the pub or going for a nice meal. It's the perfect kind of luxurious cover up for Christmas time and the colder months.

Another coat I have fallen for is the amazing monochrome eyelash knit coatigan... If there's one thing I love when it comes to Winter fashion, it's textures in my outfits and another thing I love is black and white, so this is really to my taste. Patterned coats are always a staple for me, they're a real statement piece and ideal for layering with simpler shapes and styles.

Last year I bought my first ever fluffy jumper and loved it so much, so I definitely want more. This pretty coral one is going to be super warm for the colder months but really different due to the brighter colour, I've only really seen fluffy jumpers in neutral or dark colours. This would add a lovely pop of bright into my Winter wardrobe.

The final coat is very similar to one I have seen in another High Street store for over £100, and at less than half the price this is a real bargain. It's classic and chic but the two tone grey design adds a modern look to the design. I can imagine this being a really flattering style and a coat that you can bring out year after year without it going out of fashion. It's an ideal middle of the road coat, it's not too smart and not too casual, great for everyday wear with dresses or jeans.

The accessories section on the Jane Norman website is really vast, with jewellery, bags, shoes and more... there really is something for everyone. My top picks are the black shoe boots which have a split down the front, making them really unique, they would look brilliant with a dress to rock it up a little or with jeans to smarten up a simple outfit.
The bag is lovely for Autumn/Winter too, I love the block colours and that it has lots of compartments, it would make a really good everyday bag.
