Last year L'Oreal released their take on liquid lipsticks. The L'Extraordinaire range is a collection of high shine, oil based, highly pigmented lipsticks which apply as a gloss, feel like a balm and last like a lipstick. They're available in nine shades, ranging from nude to bright pink and come packaged in very sleek, expensive looking packaging.

I was sent Tangerine Sonate to try, a bright orange shade and while I'm not the bravest when it comes to an orange lip (give me red or pink any day!), I was instantly won over by the name alone and knew I had to be brave and give it a go. I am so glad that I did, because this has actually become one of my favourite night time lip colours, I keep finding myself reaching for it over and over again. The glossy finish they give is really different to anything else I own, and I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear they aren't sticky or tacky at all!

The formula itself is very creamy and smooth and although fairly thick when applied, the bendy doe foot applicator makes it really easy to be precise with and it's very comfortable on the lips. With some liquid lipsticks I have tried in the past, I have found them to generally be quite drying, but these are the complete opposite, they're moisturising and buttery and somehow they still manage to stay put, there's no smudging or bleeding with these.

Back to the packaging, these lipsticks wouldn't look out of place on a high end beauty counter. They really stand out as a glamorous looking product not too dissimilar from any YSL packaging I have seen... you definitely won't be ashamed pulling this from your handbag to apply while you're out!
I love that they have a window on the side so that you can see the colour itself... this just makes life easier for storage and when you just want to grab and go.

All in all, I really like this, and I have already picked up a couple of other colours, which I love just as much. They're simple, they're chic and even better, they're really affordable!
