Pixi Glow Tonic

I make no secret of the fact that I have sensitive skin, and if I'm honest, I do struggle a little with skincare and finding products that really work for me. In one sense I am nervous to try new products (especially on my face) incase I have a bad reaction but on the other hand I have never really settled into just using certain products in my skincare routine... It's a bit of a vicious circle, I'm forever on the search for those miracle products which will combat my dry, dull, sensitive and troublesome skin.

After reading lots and lots about Pixi's Glow Tonic, I found myself heading straight for the Pixi store on my latest trip to London (which is possible the cutest shop in the world) and picking up a bottle of this glowing orange liquid. Speaking to the lovely ladies in store, they reassured me that as this contains no alcohol and plenty of aloe vera, this would be perfect for me. Interestingly enough the shop on Carnaby Street is the only place you can buy this (other than the Pixi website), so it does have a bit of a special, exclusive feeling about it, there was definitely a sense of achievement walking out of the shop with my little paper bag.

Toner is a step often missed out of people's skincare routines and personally I only use this two or three times a week at most, just depending on when I feel like my skin needs it. I remove my makeup and then use this on a cotton pad allover my face to remove any last traces of missed makeup and dirt. It gives an instant refreshed, clean feeling with no tight feeling, which surprisingly is what I was most expecting from this. I was pleasantly surprised that it is very gentle, and really nice to use.

As my skin is the way it is, I find gritty exfoliators can be way too harsh for me, so this being a liquid exfoliator is much better suited. This is the first of it's kind that I have tried, intact I didn't even know they existed before this came along. Rather than being an exfoliator that buffs the skin with gritty particles, this works with chemicals (which may sound scary, but it's really not).
Glycolic acid is the key ingredient which is great for helping to remove dead skin cells, reduce the signs of ageing and improve the overall look and condition of the skin. Glow Tonic also contains Witch Hazel, Ginseng, Fructose and lots more ingredients that help to tighten, soften and tone the skin.

I've been using this for around three months now, and I definitely think that my skin is benefiting from using it, blemishes are fading faster, I feel as though my skin does glow a little more and without a doubt my skin is smoother, which results in my makeup applying easier, better and lasting longer.
At £18 for a bottle, it isn't cheap, however in comparison to similar products (P50, Alpha H Liquid Gold etc) this is a much cheaper option, and of course a little goes a very long way. I would recommend that anyone gives this a try, and I'd love to hear your thoughts if you've used it already.
