Two days ago I got the keys to my new house, which has meant I have been frantically choosing paint colours, carpets, wallpapers and most excitingly all the little extras and accessories for the house.
As soon as I discovered the Flamingo Gifts website my wishlist of bits and pieces to make the house more homely and pretty, doubled.
I'm going for quite a minimalistic theme in most rooms of the house, lots of white and grey with accessories, fabrics and textures doing most of the work.
Elodie's bedroom is going to be really fun and girly, so I'd love to add the Party Ring cushion to her already huge collection of pillows on her bed - she'd love it.
For the living room I'd like to have the retro phone for a bit of bright colour - duck egg blue looks amazing against grey so it would really fit in, and I actually remember these phones the first time round, so it will be nice to go back to having one rather than a handheld. I'm planning on having a few books on the coffee table at all times, and I'd love to add the Mug Cakes one into the mix - I tried making a mug cake recipe I read online a few weeks ago and it was delicious! I'm also a little bit excited at the thought of having the sweet treats coasters in the drawer to pull out when we have guests... they probably won't go with anything, but they're adorable!
In the kitchen, I'd love to have the candy cookie tin and bourbon biscuit tin on the shelves as storage for anything really, not necessarily biscuits and possibly some of the metal heart decorations on the wall, depending on what kind of image and colour scheme I decide on for the room, they would look really lovely in a country/old fashioned farmhouse style kitchen.
For the bedroom I'd like the Candy Floss Flamingo Candle and Orla Kiely Tealight Lantern on the bedside table and the simple yet really chic 'Follow Your Dreams' sign above or opposite the bed.
Finally, if all goes to plan, the third bedroom will become a dressing room/blogging room for me, which I'm really excited about decorating! I'd love to have the dove doorstop to fit in with the all white theme I have planned and the metal stag jewellery holder would be a real statement on the wall, whilst also being really useful.
