January was a busy one here on That's Peachy... I almost managed a blog post every day (I think I totalled 27 out of 31, which isn't too bad going!) After a hectic Festive period and New Year, I just had so many wonderful products to tell you about, and if I'm honest I really enjoyed blogging daily - I'm going to try and keep it up, although I've already missed February 1st, and this post technically should have gone live two days ago, but you know..!
Beauty took over the blog throughout January, starting with a 'What I Got For Christmas' post, shortly followed by an in dept review of one of my favourite presents; the Victoria Beckham Nails Inc nail polishes. I talked about a bright orange liquid lipstick which has surprisingly been quite wearable, a glamorous pink blush from a brand I had never tried before and an oil based eye makeup remover which has been ever so gentle on my sensitive skin.
Later in the month I swatched some neutral, yet beautiful shades of Orly Nail polish and found a hand cream which could stand up to the awful cold weather we've been having. I played around with my makeup in order to achieve a glowy, fresh faced look for the Winter and rescued my hair with an intensive conditioner which actually manages to make my long tresses tameable!
One of the blog posts I was most excited about writing was my review of the Tarte Gifted mascara... Tarte are a brand I was desperate to try, and now I'm slightly obsessed and can't wait to try more!
A popular post which I saw a few people write, was my highlights of 2014... I shared personal moments and blogging moments which included working with Tom Pellereau on the FABB event in Birmingham. My most recent beauty posts are a review of the Illamasqua Brozing Duo (a must have product for anyone!) and my go-to glossy, berry lipstick which I can't stop raving about!
Considering I describe this as predominantly a 'fashion blog', I think I deserve a slap on the wrists, as the outfit posts were slightly lacking in January (sorry!) However, they always seem to be the most popular, so I promise there will be more this month... I blame the cold weather!
The first post of the year was a slightly more modern take on an interview outfit, which became one of my most liked Instagram shots ever, however the most popular post of the month turned out to be a pretty basic outfit where I showed how I style my Ugg boots for day to day wear.
I started off the year with good intentions and wrote about what I wear to the gym and followed up with two monochrome looks, one featuring a lace crop top and the other where I clashed prints like a good 'un!
And that's just some of the posts I've written... If you have any requests for what you would like to see this month, just leave a comment or a tweet and I will do my best to fit everything in.
I have a couple of Valentine's makeup and nail related posts planned for definite, so look out for those, plus a few new features which are a little different for That's Peachy, I hope you'll like them!
