I'm visiting London again next week, and for a change I've decided to try and squeeze some tourist activities into my time there. While searching for new places to visit, I decided to have a look at the Victoria and Albert Museum website to see what exhibitions are on at the moment because I went on a trip there years ago with school and remember really enjoying it. As a fashion lover, the world's greatest museum of art and design is a place I find really inspiring and interesting.

The curent exhibition which runs until March 15th is a wedding dress exhibition, looking at the history and evolution of wedding dresses since 1775, the design process, the styles and even some celebrity wedding outfits. Although I'm not getting married, I studied fashion and textiles at college so this is something I would love to see, some of the dresses on the website look so glamorous and extravagant, it would be amazing to see them up close in real life, especially the outfit worn by Gwen Stafani on her wedding day!

Of course there are a few important factors when it comes to visiting a museum, it's not all about the exhibitions, the cafe and the gift shop matter too!
The V&A Museum Store looks like heaven, it stocks really unique pieces of jewellery, books, home accessories, stationary and so much more... there's literally everything you could want from a gift shop and more, and even better everything is available to buy online too - perfect for any of your Mother's Day needs. I know for sure that if I wasn't going to be visiting, I'd be placing an order now because as far as gifts go, you know you'll be able to get something completely different to anything you'd see in the shops in your local town, I have my eye on the espresso coffee press, cup & saucer for my Mam, and a new coffee table book for my Gran. Also the profits from the gift shop go to support the museum, it's always a bonus knowing your money is going to good use.

Have you visited the V&A before?
