Sometimes new beauty brands come along and pass you by and then sometimes they really catch your attention and actually excite you and for me Bagsy Beauty is definitely the latter.
Being a blogger has it's perks and receiving surprise packages in the post is definitely one of those. When I opened the parcel containing these products I actually (for the first time ever I think) let out a squeal of joy, and that was based on the packaging alone!
Bagsy is a new British makeup brand created to be 'your handbags new best friends', 'an edit of the best of every beauty bag' and 'perfectly designed'. The collection includes downsized makeup for the face, lips, cheeks and eyes plus hair and hand products, brushes and a gorgeous flamingo print makeup bag to keep everything in. I have been testing out the bronzer, chubby stick, lip gloss and tinted lip balm.
Back to the packaging; each product is contained in a different printed box or tube, with girly, pretty prints, inspirational and motivational beauty themed quotes and in the case of the bronzer, a velvet drawstring bag... I'm usually the first to throw away boxes but I've kept each and every one of these products in their original packaging because it's just too cute to throw away!
My favourite product from the range is the Lip Velvet Soft Matte Lip Colour in 'No Frills', it's really buttery to apply, moisturising on the lips (something which some matte lip products are lacking) but still not sticky (my pet hate!) The colour is also really pretty, natural yet because of the matte finish it looks like something special.
The Ray Of Sunshine Perfect Glow Bronzing Powder in 'Light/Medium' was a tough one to use, mainly because I didn't want to ruin the quote, but I've forced myself to give it a try and I really like it... it's matte yet glowy and works really well as an everyday flush of colour for the cheeks or a light contour.
The Wow Lips Chubby Stick in 'Ready To Wear' reminds me very much of the Clinique Chubby Sticks in consistency, pigmentation and application... Perfect for an everyday lip for when you're busy or on the go, you don't need a mirror to apply and it leaves the lips looking 'done' in a great for Autumn shade.
Lastly the Lip Cocoon Moisture Balm in 'Raspberry' contains ingredients including beeswax, shea butter, sunflower and castor oil which leave my lips feeling amazing, soft and nourished. The colour payoff isn't great, it's very minimal but for underneath another lip product I really like this as a base.
The entire collection is available from Feel Unique with prices starting at £5.00, some of which are currently on promotion with 33% off.
