Gwen has shared all of her beauty secrets and loves with UD to create a collection including all of her dream come true shades and the Gwen Stefani Blush Palette really is something of beauty. The palette includes six shades of bronzer, highlighter and blush which will work well for any skin tone.
I was especially happy to find that the powders are all the same formula as my all-time favourite blushers the 'Afterglow' collection... they're soft and silky to apply, highly pigmented and have a real sheen to them when on the skin, they are excellent quality and truly feel like a luxury product.
From left to right on the swatch photo:
Cherry: light pink satin
Easy: deep rose with gold shimmer
Angel: champagne nude shimmer
Lo-Fi: soft bronze matte
Hush: Medium pink with gold shimmer
OC: Soft peach/pink
All of the shades last for hours on the skin without the need of any reapplying, which is handy because I wouldn't fancy carrying the whole palette around in my bag on a night out, although for a weekend away, this is a really sleek and compact palette to take away in a suitcase, much easier than carrying six separate blushes, it's everything you need in one place.
I have mostly been wearing Easy on an evening and OC during the day, both with Angel as a highlight. Easy can be built up to quite a dramatic shade to create a bit of an impactive contour or can be blended to something more subtle. OC is really flattering and pretty on the skin, ideal for everyday wear or for work.
Angel is the kind of highlight shade which gives a real glow to the skin, and only a light amount is required because of the shimmer, for a night out when applied heavily it's really striking too. When teamed up with Lo-Fi, they can create a really natural and pretty contour to the cheeks.
Cherry and Hush are both really beautiful, girly shades, ideal for the Spring/Summer season ahead.
If I'm being completely honest, I'm obsessed with all six shades and will love them all until they're completely used up (which will be a very sad day!)
Which shades do you like the look of most?
I've also been trailing the Gwen x Urban Decay lipsticks and liners, which are equally as lovely... check back next week for my review and swatches.
