If you follow me on Instagram, you may remember seeing I had received a gift from Jo Malone for my birthday way back in November (seriously how is it April already?!)... Well I know I've taken my time, but here it is, my first Jo Malone fragrance... Pomegranate Noir Cologne.

I have always had the Jo Malone colognes and candles on my ever growing wish list, just for that little bit of personal satisfaction and being able to display the beautiful bottle on my dressing table... owning something from the brand is a real treat and I think my many not so subtle hints were noticed when my boyfriend went birthday present shopping for me!
The bag and the box which the bottle came packaged in were treat enough themselves... a real luxurious gift, and for once some packaging which I never plan on throwing away.

I have lost count of the amount of times I have been into the department in Fenwicks to test the different fragrances... there are so many I love and would love to own but Pomegranate Noir is one I always seemed to go back to and have a cheeky spritz of in store.

Probably one of the most 'famous' Jo Malone scents, Pomegranate Noir is quite heavy, so if you're a fan of Tom Ford Black Orchid, Illamasqua Freak or YSL Black Opium... this will be your kind of scent. I always go for quite dark, unmistakable fragrances, and this is easily one of my favourites.
Described on the website as 'rich juices of pomegranate, raspberry and plum spiked with pink pepper and laced with Casablanca lily and spicy woods, this is dark and enigmatic'. It's fruity, yet sultry and sexy and quite a power fragrance... I mostly wear this for evening wear, if I'm going out or to somewhere special, but for a daytime statement this is great too.

Available in 30ml and 100ml bottles, the smallest option is priced at £42... which admittedly isn't cheap, but for a product this high quality and this luxurious it's definitely worth the splurge!
