It's been so cold today... I've spent the day wrapped in a blanket while window shopping online for my Summer wardrobe. Anything to make me think warm thoughts has been appreciated on a day like this!
One thing I love all year round, but really feel like I'm able to embrace in Summer are printed trousers. They're always flattering and look really good styled with a simple t-shirt and sandals or Converse. My favourite pair that I've come across so far are these Esprit jeans, the colours are pretty but not too in your face and will look really Summery with a plain white tee tucked in.
Although I'm not sure it will suit my shape, I can't help but love the blue embroidered top, it looks so floaty and cool and I love the detailing around the neckline. I'm definitely planning on going to try this on and I'll be praying it suits me!
A new season is a good excuse for new shoes and I'm loving these block heel sandals from Office. They're the kind of thing you can get away with for daytime or night time, and seeing as though I've promised myself to downsize my shoe collection a little bit, then these will be the perfect addition. I love the colour too; grey goes with everything and it's a little bit different from your typical black or tan sandals.
I always like to stock up on t-shirts to pair with ripped jeans for an easy/every day outfit and this Whistles T-shirt is top of my list. I've never bought anything from Whistles before, but this might be the thing to change that! I think it's so simple but cute and it would look fab with my white skinnies.
I'm not usually one for quirky or some may say gimmicky accessories, but I have fallen in love with the vintage radio bag from Accessorize. The detail on this is amazing, it looks exactly like a radio! You can guarantee it would be a real conversation starter if you wore this to an event... I'm picturing it with a pretty pastel dress and white heels, the perfect outfit for a guest to wear to a Summer wedding.
One thing I really want to buy is the cute pink crop top from the House of Fraser sale, I would pair this with a high waisted white midi skirt or some wide legged palazzo pants for cocktails with the girls, or a party... All I need now is for someone to actually invite me to a party!
Every year I find myself treating myself to a new Esprit denim dress because they're so simple to style and never really go out of fashion. Over the past few years I've worn them for the beach, gigs, shopping, the pub... they're such a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. I love the one above with it's subtle embroidered leaf design and the swingy skirt.
What will you be adding to your wardrobe for Summer?
