The Brownie Bar in Newcastle has fast become my favourite place to go for a bit of a chocolate fix!

Located in Eldon Gardens near John Lewis it's really central and in the perfect place to stop off at on your way back to the car for a little treat once you've worked up an appetite shopping... I hope I'm not the only one who does this!
On the days where I'm feeling completely shopped out I'll drop my bags and sit in while I indulge in a brownie and custard with a coke float while Elodie has a milkshake or if I'm rushing back to the carpark before my ticket expires I'll grab a few brownies to take away (it's pretty much impossible to leave with just one!)

I feel as though I'm quite the brownie connoisseur these days, and let me tell you that these are the best of the best. I haven't been paid to say this, it comes straight from the heart. The brownies are always perfectly gooey in the middle with that little bit of crunch and bite on the outside and what's better than that is that there are over 30 flavours available.
My personal favourites are Oreo (pictured above), Millionaire, Salted Caramel, Malteser and Smores (pictured above) but every flavour I have ever tasted have all been really delicious.

I love to support local and independent businesses, and The Brownie Bar is the perfect representation of that. Set up by two Newcastle born sisters in 2010 the business is going from strength to strength and don't worry if you're not from the North East... you can order online and have the brownies delivered to your door (which is something I have been known to do too).
If you want to send some as a gift you can also order brownie bombs, brownie celebration cakes and corkers which are chocolate chip cookies filled with a gooey brownie core - these are next on my hit list.

Have you been to The Brownie Bar before?
