Coat / Shirt / Trousers / Jacket / Sunglasses / Boots

I love this time of year for fashion, it's all about loose, light layers and mixing up the prints...

Although it's an unwritten rule than during the warmer months you should be embracing pastel shades, I can't help but lust over this Warehouse duster coat... I know it's navy, but I really think it will go well with most other colours and it looks so lightweight that it would be the perfect cover up for when the Winter coat has been packed away but it's not warm enough to go without a jacket.  I'm picturing it with the Oasis striped shirt and ripped white jeans for a smart/casual everyday kind of outfit.

For a more casual outfit I am loving the printed trousers from Mango, the colours and the print are gorgeous and so flattering, teamed up with sandals or boots and a simple vest top, this could be such a go-to outfit for a warm day. I bought these trousers last year but in a different print, and the fabric is so cool and comfortable, they really are a must have for anyone going on holiday or to a festival... to smarten them up I would put the French Connection jacket with them for a subtle clash of prints and to give a little somethin' to the look.

When it comes to accessories, I am adamant I will add some Quay Australia sunglasses to my wardrobe this year, I've been eyeing them up for too long not to! I love these simple black cat eye style ones and there are some marble ones in my local Topshop that I've tried on a few times too... I'll have to treat myself to at least one of them.

Lastly I know boots aren't the first thing which come to mind when shopping for Spring, but I think a lighter coloured pair are a must have for anyone's wardrobe... this pair from M and M Direct will look so stylish paired with some ripped light wash jeans and the striped shirt, even with the coat on top, shoes as versatile as these will end up being worn over and over again throughout the season, and lets face it, it's not always warm enough for sandals in the UK!

What pieces are you wanting to add to your wardrobe to see you through Spring?
