When my ultimate girl crush Olivia Palermo announced she was collaborating with Ciate; one of my favourite nail polish brands, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some pieces from the collection, not only because Olivia had put her name to it, but also so that I delve into the world of Ciate cosmetics.
The collection was released in Winter 2015 with beautiful lipsticks, nail polishes, eye liners, an eyeshadow palette and the piece which really caught my eye; this beautiful blush and bronzer duo in the shade ’Bluff Point' which is branded as a 'Cheekbone Cheat’. With this you can create a sculpted contour or warm the skin using the bronzer and give a flush of rosey pink to the cheeks with the blush.
Both sides of the compact are beautifully pigmented, the blush works perfectly with my skin tone and I feel it would suit paler to medium skin toned ladies without doubt. It applies so smoothly, with an almost creamy feel to it, and can be blended out to create the desired effect on the cheek.
The bronzer contains no shimmer and is a medium cool toned shade which gives a slight sheen to the skin on application. Of course the two can also be swirled together to create a pinky toned bronze and sun kissed effect to the cheeks if you prefer.
The powders are infused with bamboo-extract which helps to control oil, makes the makeup last longer and helps the product to have a more flawless finish on the skin.
The packaging of the compact is really lovely with a black and gold embossed snake print finish, it looks much more expensive and could easily pass as a high end product, I also love the imprinted OP logo in the product - the little finishing touches like this always make that bit of difference to me.
I'm really hoping there will be another collaboration between Ciate and OP as this really surpassed my expectations, I definitely want to add more to my collection.
If you’re worrying you may have missed out on this range, check your local TK Maxx, they have been getting a lot of the lipsticks and nail polishes in recently.
