Fenwick Beauty Week is well underway, and this time last week I attended the launch event, which was the perfect way to kick off the celebrations.

Myself and the other bloggers met at Mason & Rye in the newly refurbished Food Hall where we were greeted by glasses of prosecco and bite size desserts from their amazing patisserie including glittery macaroons, brownies and chocolate tarts.
We were given a welcome by the beauty buyer for the store and left to peruse the treatments available from the brands that night... Each brand only had a set amount of appointments available, so deciding which to choose was quite a task!
There were manicures from Nails Inc, hand and arm massages from Jo Malone, hair treatments from Aveda, facials from Sisley, makeovers from YSL, Charlotte Tilbury, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Tom Ford, Armani and shellac nails from Clarins Spa to name a few!

I had attended the same event last year, and visited the YSL counter... I loved it so much that I decided to go back again! YSL are one of my all-time favourite high end beauty brands and they were offering a Summer makeover demonstration using all of their cult products.

I was lucky enough to be the model for the demonstration, so I got to try a full face of their products expertly applied by the lovely Lauren who works on their counter.
My makeup was removed (yes, right in the middle of the beauty hall!) and my skin was prepped using the Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow, a moisturiser which blurs imperfections, gives radiance and hydrates the skin for up to 72 hours! This felt amazing and so cooling on my skin.
My eyelids were prepped with the Contour Eye Primer in 'light' before shadows from the Couture Palette 'Mauresques Summer Look 2015' were applied, followed by black liquid eyeliner on my waterline and a couple of coats of the newly formulated Luxurious Mascara for False Lash Effect.
To finish the eyes my brows were left fairly natural with just a quick sweep of the 'Couture Brow' brow mascara.
I was then colour matched for the Touche Eclat Le Teint foundation (BR30 for reference) which is a full coverage, yet completely weightless foundation that adds radiance to the skin thanks to it's magic light-reflecting formula. I was given a sample of this and it's fair to say I am in love!!
The foundation was applied with a drop of the Forever Youth Liberator Water In Oil, a lightweight nourishing oil (which smells incredible). This was applied using the new Touche Eclat Foundation Brush, a very soft yet densely packed brush which has a Y-shaped reservoir for the foundation to be pumped into before application... very similar to the bareMinerals Perfecting Face Brush.
Touche Eclat was applied under my eyes to cover my old lady bags and then Lauren created a strobing effect by using the pink eyeshadow from the palette she had used on my eyes... something I would have never thought to have tried - but it worked really well!
The beautiful Touche Eclat Blur Perfector was applied to smooth out my complexion and mattify any shiny areas and the Les Sahariennes bronzer added a subtle and natural contour. Both of these products are the most amazing formula, they're 60% powder and 40% liquid, which results in a cream to powder finish that is unlike any other - the skin feels and looks completely flawless.
Lastly I was given a last flush of colour across my cheeks and lips with the Kiss & Blush Lip & Cheek Duo in 'Rose Libre' which has a luminous matte finish and a tiny bit of clear gloss was added on top of my lips.

I loved the finished look (as pictured in the first photograph), the eye makeup was more than I would usually go for, especially for daytime, but I really loved the colours. The eyeshadow highlight was probably my favourite part of the makeover, as it was something so new to me, and the foundation has made it's way to the top of my wish list!

Next stop was the Chanel counter, which was all completely new to me as I have never used any of their products before (although I've been wanting to try their Vitalumiere Aqua foundation for a while!) We were given a lip and brow masterclass, which worked well with the YSL makeover as they were the areas which had had the least done to them.

My Chanel consultant was called Sam and she was amazing... With such a gentle touch she had my brows looking better than they had ever looked, they were sculpted to perfection.
Using the Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in shade 40 Brun Cendre my brows were defined and filled in before being set with the Beaute Des Cils which is actually a mascara base product that can be used for brows too. It appears white on application but dries clear and encourages brow growth at the same time - I swear my brows grew overnight after having this applied... I definitely need to investigate more!
Sam then defined my brows by highlighting my brow bone and drawing around the brow before blending with the Le Crayon Khol in 'Clair', another multi use product which not only works for the brows, it can be used on the waterline to brighten and open up the eye or around the lips to neaten application of product.

With my lips I was able to sample one of the new Rouge Coco Stylo lipstick pens, which I have been desperate to have a closer look at! The formula is amazing; they have the intensity of a lipstick with the shine of a gloss and feel as comfortable as a balm. The design makes it really easy to apply too - such a great launch!
My lips were lined with a dark nude lip pencil in the shade 'Mordore' and filled in with the beautiful maroon shade of Rouge Coco Stylo ' Recit'.

I'll definitely be popping back to the counter after payday to treat myself to a few of the products which were used on me!
