Everyone seems to be talking about NYX in the UK at the moment as finally counters are appearing in Boots stores all round the country, even up here in the North East.

I have used quite a few products from NYX thanks to being able to buy some at IMATS each year, so as I keep seeing people Tweeting and asking what they need to pick up from their local counter, I thought I would share my must have products with you, and those I am coveting too!

Always on the hunt for the perfect base products I really want to add the Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer to my collection, I have heard this is a much cheaper dupe of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primers (which I love) despite it's creamier texture. I have high hopes that this will really smooth out my skin and combat the awful dryness I am suffering with at the moment by helping maintain hydration throughout the day. For ladies with normal/oily skin I would really recommend the Pore Filler primer which I have previously used, I picked this up as I was told it's the same as Benefit Porefessional and initially I loved it as it was really good for smoothing the skin and disguising pores but I think my skin was a touch too dry for this to show it's full potential on me.

I have only used liquid eye primers before so the cream Eyeshadow Base is something I really want to try out and challenge to work on my oily lids. I love experimenting with new products and formulas and can't wait to get my hands on this. Available in a generic skin tone shade, white or white pearl you're left with a decision to make; do you want to even out the colour of your lids while priming for eyeshadow (then go with skin tone)? Or do you want to intensify the colour of your eyeshadow upon application as well as priming (you need white/white pearl)?

As a self confessed highlighter addict I love the Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator and have been telling everyone to go and buy this! I already have 'Gleam', a golden bronze shade which is perfect for Summer or when I've used false tan, however I love it so much that I also want/need 'Sunbeam', a pale pink/iridescent shade, which will suit my paler skin tone all year round, after all you can never have too many highlighters!

I'm a little dubious about the Wonder Stick, a concealer, highlight and contour in one, but I do know this will be the first thing I reach for and swatch when I get to my local counter and I would encourage you to do the same. It could go one of two ways; either being awful, or being amazing and I'm hoping for the latter. I'm also curious to try out their Eyebrow Marker, as you will probably know I'm all about the brows, yet I've never used a brow 'pen'. I have done my research on this and it gives a wash of colour or a subtle amount of definition to the brows which is apparently easier to apply than a pencil, which sounds pretty good to me... Definitely worth a look!

A product which definitely doesn't get enough hype in the bloggosphere is the Wonder Pencil, the 'light' shade which I have is a dupe of the Chanel La Crayon Kohl in 'Clair' and is useful for so many things... I line and define my brows, line my lips to prevent my lipstick bleeding, conceal small blemishes and brighten my eyes by applying this along my waterline, it really is a versatile piece to pop in your makeup bag. The pencil is really creamy and blends out so nicely, I recommend this to everyone, and if the light shade isn't for you, it's available in medium and deep options too.

Lastly, the lip products, the big deal of the NYX stand and the things everyone wants/needs. I am eyeing up the Soft Matte Lip Cream and Butter Gloss in pretty much every colour available!
The Matte Lip Creams are a liquid lipstick which are very highly pigmented and dry with a matte finish, yet still manage to be moisturising and none drying on the lips; I'd recommend grabbing the shades 'Amsterdam' for the perfect pillar box red, 'Stockholm' for a peachy nude and 'Milan' for an everyday pinky brown. The Butter Gloss is another moisturising lip product, which doesn't have quite as much pigmentation to it as the Matte Lip Creams and have a very glossy finish to them. I've got my eye on all of the brown/nude shades especially 'Tiramisu', 'Angel Food Cake' and 'Ginger Snap'.

Of course if your local Boots isn't stocking NYX products yet, you can buy online with Boots or Feel Unique
