IMATS is one of the things I look forward to most each year, every Summer myself and Ray head down to London for a couple of days to spend all of our savings on makeup and food!

If you've never heard of IMATS before, it's the International Makeup Artists Trade Show which travels around the world stopping in New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Sydney, Toronto and London every year.
This year was our fourth year attending the show, and I have to say it was my favourite yet!
Held at Olympia London in Kensington, the room is filled with brands showcasing their products, including Mac, Bobbi Brown, YSL, NYX, Inglot, Bdellium Tools, Crown Brush, Nanshy and Urban Decay to name a few. As well as all of the well known beauty brands there are plenty of special effects makeup brands displaying their work and applying makeup and prosthetics to models around the arena throughout the day, I'm always amazed at watching them at work, there are some seriously talented people!

After an early wakeup call and a quick tube journey to Kings Cross, we arrived at the venue just after 9am, so we could get in early and have a really good look around before the queues got too long and everything got a little manic (we made that mistake last year!) After a quick sign in at the press desk we were able to have a scan around the room to see which brands were there and where they were located so that we could come up with a plan of action to visit every stand we wanted to and get our hands on the bargains without missing out on anything!

Some brands were offering huge discounts on their products and my short list of purchases was soon scrapped in favour of a few too good to miss impulse buys... IMATS really is a beauty bloggers haven at the same time as being your bank balance's worst nightmare!
I'm not going to say what I bought in this post as I'm planning on making my return to YouTube with a haul video from the whole time in London, so please subscribe to my channel if you haven't already... Hopefully the video will be up next weekend.

Once we were fully loaded with bags, we spent some time watching the MUA's at work, they were all so amazing and talented! I just wish that we had longer in London so that we could have enjoyed some of the live demonstrations which were taking place that day; I really wanted to see my fave gal Hannah Martin from Bobbi Brown but had to miss out as we were really hungry and didn't want to return home completely bankrupt!

You can see some of the amazing makeup looks which were created on the day by searching the hashtag #IMATSLondon on Instagram.

Did you go to IMATS? I'm already excited for next year!
