When it comes to choosing body products I am always drawn to anything coconut scented. I find the scent quite light, but really fresh and Summery and coincidentally most of the products I find myself reaching for on a daily basis are of the coconut variety.

As an ingredient, coconut can be really moisturising for dry skin and gentle for any sensitive skin types, which pretty much sums my skin type up... Lucky for me I love the smell, and use it as a bit of an excuse to stock up on plenty of coconut products!

The majority of my perfumes and scents include coconut and my daytime sprays are always of the same variety... My go-to fragrances at the moment are the Victoria Secret Coconut Passion Fragrance Mist which I bought last year when in London, it's a really sweet, girly scent with notes of vanilla and coconut. The added vanilla makes this wearable all year round, but if you prefer pure coconut scents I'd recommend the spray which I constantly find myself repurchasing; The Body Shop's Coconut Body Mist, which has become a bit of a signature scent for me. I spritz this in my hair or on my skin after showering and it lasts all day, I especially love this in the Summery months as it reminds me so much of holidays.

Not only does my skin love coconut, but my hair has been loving it too. I recently started using the Faith In Nature Intensive Coconut Conditioner, a natural, organic and cruelty free product which has really nourished my horrible dry split ends. It's such a creamy, luxurious texture, it instantly makes my hair feel softer and any frizziness or fly away hairs has been tamed. I've also been using the Revlon Uniq One Coconut Hair Treatment after each wash. I spray a little bit of this into the mid length and ends of my hair before drying or styling and it instantly gets to work. Not only does this act as a heat protectant, it also works as a detangler, adds shine and works to repair dry and damaged hair. The coconut smell of this lingers subtly in my hair throughout the day.

In the shower I've been using the And Other Stories Perle de Coco Body Scrub which was a bit of an impulse purchase when I was in London last month. I was casually sniffing the beauty products to pass time while Ray was waiting to pay for her hand wash, when I found myself in the queue behind her. I just couldn't resist how good this smells, it is one of those products that actually smells good enough to eat! I didn't plan on paying £9 for a scrub, but it was just too good to leave behind; vanilla, coconut and caramel is officially the best combo of scents, and it's a bloody good scrub too.
I've also still got the Original Source Skin Quench Pineapple & Coconut Oil in my shower, which I spoke about in my 2016 Favourites post back in April. I really enjoying using this as it's very moisturising and gentle on my skin while the scent and texture are invigorating and awakening - perfect for my morning shower.

The newest product to my coconut collection is The Body Shop Pinita Colada Body Butter, which is one of the nicest scents of them all. Everything in the range smells incredible, the mixture of pineapple and coconut is like a cocktail and holiday rolled into one. As with all of The Body Shop body butters, this is really rich and creamy and very moisturising on the skin, however the texture of this is a lot thicker than the other body butters I've used, meaning I need to use even less product, so this will last for ages. I'm definitely going to repurchase this and a few other bits from the range before they sell out.

Lastly, I couldn't write this post without mentioning my beloved Vita Coco Coconut Oil! I use this on a daily basis for one thing or another, and as I've talked about on here endless times before, I have so many uses for this. Most often I'm using this as a cleanser to remove my makeup, to shave my legs with or as a hair mask for my split ends... The uses really are endless though, I can't recommend this enough, in fact I think my friends are sick of me telling them to try it out!

Are there any coconut products you'd recommend I try next?
