Welcome back to another part of my 'Beauty Best' series, where I'm showcasing my favourite products and best discoveries from all areas of beauty. If you haven't already guessed, today I'm taking about concealers.

Concealer is a step in my makeup routine which I never skip... some days I will go without blush or without eye shadow but I will never go without concealer, whether I'm disguising dark circles, hiding spots or covering some redness I always need it.

Over the years I've tried my fair share of brands, formulas, consistencies... You name it, I've tried it and if I'm honest, there are a lot I really do like. I could name a few I haven't really thought much of, but instead I'm talking about my current favourites. I do have a few I like which aren't in my collection right now (Lasting Perfection I'm talking about you!) but I do have some really good ones on the go...

For under my eyes I always find myself reaching for Benefit Fake Up in 'light', not only is the coverage with this really great for hiding my dark circles but the added moisturiser around the concealer with this is just genius!
I make no secret of the fact that I suffer from dry skin and can get really bad eczema around my eyes and when this happens, this is the only product I can get away with using. It's applies so smoothly and blends out really easily with my ring finger. The added ingredients of Vitamin E and apple seed extract make this really hydrating and help it to combat any creasing (because let's face it, there's nothing worse!) and helps to keep my skin nourished throughout the day.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't suffer with dryness around the eyes, as it can be quite greasy, but for people like myself it definitely ticks all of the boxes.

Another concealer I really rate for anyone with dry skin is the Inika Perfection Concealer; this contains light reflective mineral pigments to help with covering any darker areas of the skin and has a very dewy, natural finish once blended out. Although this isn't the highest of coverage, it can be built up, and it's it's so thin and blendable, you can get away with layering it without it looking cakey at all.
I like to use this to even out my skin tone before applying my makeup and always find it gives a really fresh looking finish to my skin.
As with all Inika products, this is completely natural, organic, vegan and cruelty free and contains no parabens. Although this is on the pricey side, a tiny bit goes a really long way and as an added extra - it smells beautiful!

I always think of Nars Radiant Creamy concealer as the ever so slightly better, high end version of the Collection Lasting Perfection, it is very similar in consistency and coverage. I can use this to cover spots, redness or dark circles and it always does the trick, it's also really long lasting, high coverage and will stay put once applied.
As far as holy grail status goes, it's almost there for me... It is definitely worth the hype, however I question wether it's worth the price when you can get four Collection concealers for the same amount.

My most recent discoveries are both from Seventeen, and I love them equally whether used together or apart. Stay Time is my go-to concealer for when I need coverage and brightening under my eyes, or for when I'm wanting to create the strobing effect across my cheekbones. It's a medium coverage concealer but it's also so bright and illuminating on my skin which holds its coverage when blended out with either my finger tips or my Beauty Blender. Much like the Nars concealer, this also reminds me of Collection's Lasting Perfection but with a radiant finish as opposed to matte.
When I'm only wanting the brightening without so much coverage I am loving Skin Wow, which is basically a dupe for YSL Touche Eclat in product and in packaging, yet only sets you back £4.99! This can be used to highlight the cheek bones, under eyes, brow bones and cupids bow as well as giving a light/medium amount of coverage. This has fast become an every day product for my makeup routine... If you love a luminous, highlighted look, you will love it too.

A concealer I've been using for night's out is Vichy's Dermablend, this is a lot darker than my natural skin tone and darker than my other concealers so works well when I have tanned, but I love the creamy, easy to apply formula and find that this can be blended out to pretty much match my skin.
This is the highest coverage of all of the concealers mentioned, I'm talking seriously high coverage and it still manages to look natural with it's cream to powder finish. I can use this to cover blemishes and under my eyes, any imperfections are instantly covered and it leaves my skin looking flawless.

Lastly, a product I was forced into buying after hearing so many bloggers speaking about it; LA Girl Pro Conceal. This interestingly enough is the only concealer that most of the time I don't actually use as a concealer... Instead I use this to sculpt my brows, highlight my under-eye and cheek bones and contour my nose and wow, it does the job so well!
This is well known in the blogging world as a dupe to Mac Studio Fix Concealer; high coverage, creamy consistency, thick yet smooth texture - a must have product. This leaves the skin looking bright, even and covers any blemishes with a completely flawless finish, you can really achieve that perfect 'Instagram look' with this. If you haven't given this a try yet, I can't recommend it enough.

Which concealer gets holy grail status from you?
