I've decided to start a little series on my blog called 'On My Beauty Desk' which will be a little round up post every month or so where I talk about new products I have been trying.

When I get new products, especially skincare and makeup I like to take my time with writing a review and really try something out before sharing my thoughts as I like to give educated opinions, which often results in you guys having to wait a while for the post.
I feel like this will be a good way for me to give my first impressions on products and a quick way of showing you new things I have bought and received so that you can let me know what you'd like to see featured first, think of it as 'blogger mail' in blog post format!
Something which I received last week which I had never tried before (no, really!) was a Tangle Teezer, and not just any Tangle Teezer, the cutest pink and black Pug Love Compact Styler!
With having such long hair, I have always wanted to try one of these brushes, but for some reason I had never used one until now.
I'm not gonna lie, as soon as I unwrapped this I whipped down my hair and gave it a good brushing... I mean, I had to didn't I?!

Not only is my hair long, it's thick, naturally wavy and fairly knotty so I knew it would be a challenge for the Tangle Teezer; a brush which is claimed to give healthier looking and smoother hair... the original detangler brush.
Within seconds of using this, I realised why they hype around these brushes is so huge and why everyone who has one loves it so much. The brush glides through my hair, so gently and with little effort and within minutes all knots are gone, leaving behind super sleek locks.
The Compact size fits perfectly and comfortably in my hand and with it's little cover to keep it clean, it's the newest resident in my handbag. I didn't realise I could love a hairbrush so much!
A product which I have seen lots of people talking about is the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion foundation, which I have in shade 01 and thankfully is the perfect shade for my often milk bottle-esque skin tone.

When I initially read the press release about these, I didn't expect to care for it much as I have always been a liquid foundation kinda gal, however I may have been converted!
Firstly; the packaging is not only beautiful but practical too. The foundation sits below the sponge applicator in a really sleek compact with a mirror in the lid, which fits into my makeup bag or handbag for days when I may need to touch up on the go - no messing around with brushes needed.
Most importantly the product itself is really lightweight on the skin, buildable from a light to medium coverage and gives that dewy glow that I desire from all of my base products.

The application of this product is what's really exciting for me, you simply press the sponge into the product and then dab onto the skin, building up where necessary. This application helps to prevent the foundation appearing cakey or too heavy on the skin and gives a really flawless finish. I'm very impressed!
When I think Soap & Glory, I initially think of bath products; ahhh the amazing scrubs and body butters and the beautiful scents. Then I think makeup; the eyeliner that is rivalled by no other and the dreamiest highlighters I ever did see... To be honest, skincare is the last thing which comes to mind, but I really think this is going to change if the entire range is as good as the Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel.

I received this around three weeks ago and I've been using it daily ever since. It's super light on application and sinks straight into the skin, not only meaning that it gets to work really fast on my dry skin, but also that I don't have to wait around for ages before applying my makeup on top.
It has a wonderfully fresh and fruit smell to it, thanks to the ingredients which include watermelon extract and raspberry stem cells which also help to hydrate and promote elasticity in the skin.

In the few weeks I've been using this I've noticed dry patches clearing up and that my skin feels much more refreshed and smoother. I'm without doubt going to keep using this throughout the warmer months until my skin needs something heavier.
Blow drying my hair is always the biggest chore in my beauty routine, it takes forever and I never seem to achieve that 'salon blow dry' look... That was the way I thought until this little beauty landed on my door step!

Envy Professional Style Hero is a product used by hairdressers all over the world, mainly because it's pretty amazing, but also because it is suitable for all hair types.
It contains Keratin which balances and retains moisture, silk proteins to smooth and condition the hair and wheat protein which works to improve condition.
It's such a simple product to add into your hair routine, I've been applying a few pumps of product to damp hair, brushing through with my Tangle Teezer and blowdrying as normal and the difference I am seeing by adding this to my hair is incredible.

After only using this for a couple of weeks so far my hair constantly feels smoother and much more controllable, plus my blowdries seem to hold for a lot longer than usual.
I'm going to continue using this every time I wash my hair and I'll be sure to keep reporting back... First impressions are a big thumbs up!
