On Tuesday this week we celebrated my beautiful daughter Elodie's 7th birthday.
I like to dedicate a blog post to her every year just to document a few photographs and to repeat myself in saying that I can't believe my little girl is another year older... and I really can't!

I think of seven as a really grown up age ( I even remember being seven myself!), when a child isn't so much interested in toys as they are in learning and more interesting grown up things, which definitely reflected in the presents we bought this year.
Instead of toys Elodie received a new Next coat for school, a very grown up handbag from River Island, a Roald Dahl book collection (which I can't wait for us to read through together) and a secret diary amongst so much more.

We've been through a lot this past year, and no matter what Elodie has looked after me and been my very best friend. She is such a loyal, clever, kind, funny and brave girl and at just seven and I still think of her as my baby, but as she always tells me, she's not a baby anymore, she is a big girl and she is right; she's a big girl who makes me and her Daddy the proudest parents we could ever have dreamed to be.

Her school reports are always glowing and she is excelling in all of her subjects, I think she would quite happily be at school over the weekend too if it was possible!
Out of school some of her favourite things to do including reading, drawing, playing on her new trampoline and playing Roblox and Minecraft on the laptop - I don't even understand the games but she's a self-taught pro!

Here's to another wonderful year ahead, I can't wait to see how much she changes between now and her 8th birthday, which I am sure will be here before we know it! Time goes so fast, I wish she could stay this age forever, it's perfect.
