Wow it's October, one of my favourite months of the year! But before I start getting excited about pumpkins and cosy nights in by the fire I have something to get out of the way; part three of my 2016 favourites or favourites of the year so far.

I'm still enjoying and loving a lot from last years favourites as well as those products I mentioned in part one and part two of this series. Excitingly I have a few new product discoveries from the past three months to talk about with you;
A few months ago I attended a lovely press meal at the beautiful Hotel du Vin in Newcastle where we ate some really posh food and discussed some amazing products including the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Mirrorsmooth Shampoo which I have been reaching for ever since. I have been using this alongside other products from the range, that I love too but I found I had the quickest positive results from the shampoo.
Not only does it smell and feel really luxurious, it manages to tame my frizz leaving my hair soft and smooth without weighing down my hair at all and most impressively it adds lots of shine to my usually quite dull hair without making it appear lank or greasy. I have a full blog post about the range coming in the next few weeks.

I have already raved about this on my blog, but I couldn't write a favourites round up without including the Vichy Quenching Mineral Mask. If you read my blog regularly, you may have seen the post which I wrote after using the mask just once!
I know that's quick, and especially with skincare I usually wait at least three weeks before sharing my thoughts but with this it really was instant love and I still stand by all of my initial thoughts about it.
If you have dry skin, I can promise that you will love this... It's cooling, refreshing, so hydrating and plumping for the skin.
A makeup product I have had for well over a year and actually mentioned in my 2015 favourites is the Seventeen Wow! Highlighter, but I really had to give this another shout out because it's just SO good. It's one of those things that because it's from a drugstore brand I try to replace with something better, but it just never works... Nothing compares to this, no matter which brand I try or how much I pay, this always comes out on top.
I have mostly been using this as a cheekbone and brow bone highlight for nights out  or mixed with my foundation for a dewy daytime base. The colour is perfect for my skin tone, it's so pearly and beautiful and I just love the look it gives. I recommend this to everyone and it's currently on a 2 for £8 offer - go snap one up!

Now that it's Autumn, I've used it as an excuse to pull out a lot of darker toned lip products and the Soap & Glory Gloss Stick in Purple Rain has been the one I keep going back for.
It's such an easy to wear, none offensive gloss of colour with quite high pigmentation but not too much, making it ideal for every day kind of wear.
I have a few shades of the Gloss Sticks and they are all so moisturising and so comfortable to wear, a perfect pop in my handbag kinda product, ideal for this time of year.
I fear I have become slightly boring when it comes to my nails and that's all because of this Nails Inc Alexa Silk polish. I literally only wear this polish, remove it when it chips and reapply.
It's a stunning black shade, which dries with an in-between matte/gloss finish to it which is unlike any other polish I have used before.
I find dark polishes really flattering and easy to wear with any outfit... I'm just gutted it's from the Alexa Chung limited edition collection, please make this a permanent polish Nails Inc!!
One thing I never dreamed I would include in a favourites post is a cushion foundation. I've always been a liquid foundation fan and when the foundations in a compact cushion started appearing I really had no interest. Luckily for me, I received a parcel of products from L'Oreal which included their Nude Magique Cushion Foundation, so out of curiosity I decided to give it a try.
I can't believe how much I love this! It's ideal for anyone with dry skin as it's so hydrating and gives such a beautiful dewy finish to the skin. I find it really easy to apply by pressing my beauty sponge directly into the compact and it lasts all day with a decent primer - Goes to show I shouldn't judge a product before trying.

Can you believe my next quarterly favourites will be the end of year round up?! Where has 2016 gone?!!
Have you used any of these products recently? I'd love to hear if you love them as much as I do.
