Earlier this week I attended the Intu Metrocentre bloggers Autumn/Winter preview night held in the pop up Style Garden in front of House of Fraser.

Shopping in a huge place such as the Metro Centre can become overwhelming, and it can be really difficult to find styles and items we desire... The Intu shopping centres around the country have created their own seasonal trends and with the help of blogger Megan they have picked out some key pieces and styled up some amazing looks to help inspire us all.

The event allowed us all to have a sneak peek into the trends and key pieces, see the outfits put together on live models and play around with styling and accessorising ourselves.
We also got the chance to see some amazing gift ideas from some premium brands all available in the shopping centre.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely staff from Carluccio's Italian caffè who were serving Aperol Spritzers for those who were drinking, and beautiful apple juice and elderflower options for those of us who weren't. They also provided the most amazing spread of freshly made sweet and savoury nibbles.

The area was laid out like an Autumnal living room, with furniture and accessories from Baytree Interiors, Handpicked and House of Fraser and vases of fresh flowers from Rebel Flower Company.
It was all so cosy, and it became so easy to forget that we were in the middle of a busy shopping centre!
We made ourselves comfortable on the sofas to watch Intu's resident stylist Michaela as she talked us through her favourite items for the upcoming season and how she would style them.

Heritage; A daytime trend with a country style twist, this is perfect for Autumn. Think natural, earthy tones and thicker fabrics with lots of loose shapes and layering.

Animal Print; The prints are back this season with leopard print being everywhere; coats, bags, boots... you can get it all. The key is to choose one statement piece and mix with a different texture or colour.

Velvet Dreams; My favourite trend of them all which is a really luxe look that can be dressed up or down... Ideal for Christmas parties there are so many jewel coloured pieces, or if you're brave go for a pastel shade and mix with leather look trousers and heeled boots for a daytime rock look.

Purple Reign; The colour to be seen in this season is purple; It's up to you how you wear it and even which shade you choose... From lilac to plum, it's all on trend!

Midnight Sparkle; The sparkles are back and all of the shops are jumping on the trend. You can stay classy and simple with black beading or sequins on black or go wild with gold and silver - your Christmas and New Year outfits, sorted.
Aspinal of London who are located inside House of Fraser, talked us through their newest styles of luxury leather handbags and satchels, including bags which come with compact mirrors and even portable charging devices inside them (Yes I need one too!) We got to check out the mini trunk bag that Taylor Swift has been using (it's this one FYI) and hear about the in store personalisation available on the handbag straps - such a special gift idea.

Jewellery company Thomas Sabo were on hand to showcase their perfect gift ideas, with prices starting at £24.99, I had no idea the brand was so affordable! With chains, rings and their amazing love bridge bracelets, there are so many pieces to choose from and they even have charms made from Sterling silver, or plated rose and yellow gold which can be engraved in store completely free of charge in less than 3 minutes.

We also got to see some amazing pieces from The Watch Station and Tom Ford who's Christmas gift sets are amazing this year!

I left the event feeling so inspired for AW styling and with lots of ideas in mind for my Christmas shopping... I'll most definitely be heading back to get all of my presents bought.
If you fancy a look at the Style Garden, it's going to be there until Sunday 23rd October. There will be fashion shows taking place over the weekend and chances to speak to stylists and get some one to one style advice based around the trends.

If you don't have chance to get to the Metro Centre, you can shop some of my favourite pieces from the night below:
