If there's one thing I've learned this year in regards to beauty, it's that spending the most money does not always equal owning the best products. There are so many dupes available, and so many bargain beauties waiting to be discovered on the shelves of the drugstore.
Although I do have a lot of favourites that are high end, some of the products I use on a daily basis are really affordable, and lets face it; who doesn't love a big splurge in Boots or Superdrug?
There are constant new releases and new brands all of the time, so it never gets boring... In fact, I'm pretty sure that I could spend all of my wages there, come away with bags full of amazing products and still want more!
Some of the highstreet brands have products that I really rate for as little as 99p, which inspired me for writing this post and sharing my favourite products under £5.
Sleek Rose Gold blush | £4.99: This has been in my makeup collection for so long now, ever since I heard Zoe or Fleur speaking about how this was the perfect dupe for Nars 'Orgasm'... and it really is.
It's really highly pigmented, with a beautiful gold shimmer running through it, which gives a really pretty golden highlight to the cheek bones.
I find that this a wearable colour throughout the year and it really suits my skin tone.
I'll definitely not bother purchasing the Nars option again, this is so close to being identical and for such a small fraction of the price, there's really no need.
Essence lip liners | £1.00: When Kylie Jenner made lip liners a must, I thought I'd give a cheaper option a go before splashing out on something I maybe wouldn't like or use, which is how I came to picking up these from Wilko.
Although these may not be the softest of lip liners (nothing beats Urban Decay!), they are comfortable to wear as a liner or allover the lip, and the colour options are great... I reach for these all of the time, as they go with so many of my lippies!
Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked highlighter | £3.00: This is a brand I need to try more from, because this highlight is bloody gorgeous! I love a lilac toned highlight for Winter, 'Pink Lights' makes a lovely change from the sun kissed gold toned highlights, and can look much more natural on a pale skin.
The pigmentation of this is amazing, and it's so long lasting on the skin, I really can't fault it.
Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask | 99p: Everytime I'm spending in Boots, I end up popping one of these in my basket too. I'd never used a sheet mask before trying this one out and now they're my go-to for a weekend pamper and a bit of relaxation time.
They're so easy to use and completely mess free, plus this really does give an instant and intense boost of moisture to my skin... After every use I find that my face feels so much smoother and softer than before - They're such a bargain!
Seventeen Skin Wow! Concealer | £4.99: Another dupe, and this time we have a pretty close copy of the YSL Touche Eclat. This is a brightening, highlighting concealer which I love to apply under my eyes, along my cheekbones and down the centre of my nose.
Although this isn't the highest coverage concealer, it really lifts the face and adds brightness to my complexion. If you've used the YSL version in the past, you will be able to spot slight differences in the two, but if you don't want to splash the cash on the pricier option, this is a perfect alternative, which even looks the same in it's gold packaging... You'll have everyone fooled!
What are your favourite bargain products?
Would you like to see another of these lists?.. I could easily name another five under £5 that I love!
