There's no such thing as too much makeup, surely?!
So when Boots sent me a surprise parcel of their #BootsBeautyBox filled with some new beauty bits for me to experiment with, I couldn't wait to give them all a try... After all, being introduced to new products and trying new releases, new formulas and new brands is my favourite thing to do!

Luckily for me, I had never tried any of the products before but they were all items that I really liked the look of from brands I know and love. In fact, most of which I have previously eyed up on one of my many visits to my local Boots beauty department.

The most exciting thing in the box for me was the Sleek Goodnight Sweetheart i-Divine Palette. Although I don't wear eyeshadow on a daily basis, every shade in this palette is one which I would choose and I know that Sleek shadows are some of the very best in the drugstore.

This palette is packed with the most beautiful Autumnal Shades, from deep plum to shimmering rose gold and iridescent cream, they are all stunning colours which will work well together or alone.
As you can see from the swatches above, the pigmentation is amazing, and with just a light application of any one of these colours you can be ready to go.
Of course if a more intense eye makeup look is your kind of thing, these colours can be built up to create something really impressive... This is going to be the only eyeshadow palette I need this A/W season.
Another product I was really excited to try was the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette in 'Coral Glow' which I have lost count of the amount of times I've swatched as I've walked past it in Boots. This reminds me very much of the Urban Decay Flushed palette, which I already own, which is also the main reason I have never bought this one for myself.

After just one use, I found myself regretting not buying this sooner... The bronze is absolutely perfect on my skin tone, it's matte yet has a little glow to it and looks very natural when applied and blended. The highlight is gold and shimmery, giving a wonderful glow to my skin and the blush is a beautiful coral shade, which I would usually save for Summer, but this somehow manages to work for Autumn too.

All of the powders are really fine and smooth to apply, and definitely have more of a high end feel, and look to them! I can totally see why Kate Moss has endorsed this product.
As a big fan of the brand and a big fan of brows, I was very happy to find the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil in the box. I've heard amazing things about this pencil through friends and other bloggers, with them comparing it to Benefit's Precisely My Brow Pencil and the Anastasia Beverly Hills pencil.

It was a shame to find that the shade 'Brownie Points' which I was sent is too light for me (see swatch near the bottom of this post), as I have pretty dark brows, however I still found a way to use this by defining the edges of my brows with it, and filling in small gaps before going over with my usual brow powder.
Just through doing this small amount of application, I loved the feel of this pencil... It's so easy to create really thin and defined hair like strokes with it, and it blends really well. I'll definitely be swatching the other shades next time I'm in store to find the colour for me!
For the lip product lovers like myself, there were two lip products in the box, the first being the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick from their Blushed Nudes collection.
I've always loved Maybelline lipsticks and this is as good as the rest that I have in my collection... It's enriched with honey nectar for really creamy application and comfortable wear and has molten rose gold pigments and precious oils in the formula which give a really fresh, natural yet smouldering look to the lips.

The shade I received is called 'Pink Fling' and it's a dusky pink/nude kind of shade, not too dissimilar to Mac's Creme Cup. It's very pretty, very natural and very wearable.

The second lip product in the box was one of the much hyped Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks which I have been desperate to try for such a long time.
I'm not a fan of lip glosses, but liquid lipsticks bridge the gap for me, and I really do love them.

The hot pink shade I received is called 'Berry Boost' and although it may look a little scary in the tube, when applied it is very pretty - yes bold, but sometimes bold is good!
For a daytime look, I wouldn't reach for this, but for a night out I would without doubt reach for this for a bit of a statement.

The formula is really creamy and the applicator is so soft with very small, gentle bristles which make application simple. As you can see from the swatch above, the pigmentation is an amazing payoff of high-impact colour, which dries to give a soft matte finish that lasts for hours.
I'm really impressed with this, and will be adding some new shades to my collection asap!
In the above photos I am wearing there colours from the Sleek palette (of course with my big old lids you can't really tell, so I brought a little colour onto the lower lash line too). I went with the palest shade on my inner corner, a shimmery burgundy allover the lid and a matte brown in the crease and blended underneath.
I also contoured and highlighted with the Kate Moss palette - seriously, I'm in love with this! And I have both lip products on... I applied the liquid lipstick first before blotting off to leave a faded, yet still bright pink base. The Colour Sensational lipstick applied on top leaves a brighter than natural pink shade to the lips... I don't suit baby pinks because they wash me out, and I would say the bright pink is too bright for me, but together they're pretty much perfect.

I love this finished look. It's very natural, yet very clean and bright... Exactly what I go for with my daytime makeup look the majority of the time.

Do you have any of these products in your makeup stash?.. How do you wear them?
