Here I am in another grey toned outfit... I think I have a slight addiction to the colour, I just can't help myself and if something is available in grey then that's the option I'm going to take!
Call me boring if you wish, but there are so many different tones available, and I find that all shades of grey go with the majority of other colours including all of your neutrals, pastels and black - So you really can't go wrong with having lots of grey staple pieces... That's my excuse and reasoning anyway.
I obviously wasn't thinking straight the other day when I assumed this jumper was cosy enough to keep me warm despite having my legs out. What a mistake that was! I have to admit defeat and face up to it... It's time to get the tights back out of that bottom drawer and fully embrace the layering for Winter.
This is a skirt which I assumed I wouldn't get that much wear from... suede fabric isn't always the most flattering, the light colour isn't exactly every day friendly for a bottom piece of an outfit and I also thought that the length might be an issue.
Fast forward a few months and it's become one of my go-to pieces that I seem to reach for continuously! The soft fabric is really, and I mean REALLY comfy, and as an added bonus, it's actually flattering too, not too short and the colour goes with so many other items in my wardrobe.
I'm also quite the fan of this seriously chunky, seriously oversized and seriously perfect wool jumper. I'm all about the comfort and the warmth at the moment, so this is ticking all of the boxes for me.
I bought it last Winter and wore it to death, and plan on doing the same this year. Hopefully it will keep on going for a lot more years to come because it's one of those throw on and you're good to go pieces that I just love to wear.
Look at the detailing on the skirt pocket - It really is the little things that make all of the difference. I love anything that adds a bit of texture or clash to an outfit.
I'm going shopping tomorrow to add a few warmer pieces to my collection. I've seen some amazingly priced knitwear in New Look and lots of bits in Primark which I might have to treat myself to. I also need a new bag and I've seen quite a few that I like in M&S and Mango, so I need to go and have a look at those too... I'm so sick of showing you my black satchel that I've been using lately, so much so that I didn't include it in any of these pictures!
Are you still trying to cling on to the last bit of hope that it's not fully Winter yet, or have you embraced the cold and pulled out all of your layers?
