I promise that this will be the last mention of the C word on my blog until October/November time, but I just had to squeeze this last one in while I show you some of the lovely gifts I received for Christmas.
I had initially wanted to publish this post before the new year, but you know what it's like, time runs away with you, and before you know it, it's January! I thought about not bothering with it either, but I just love reading these posts so much myself, that I hope you'll be happy to read my version, without thinking I've missed the boat with it and left it too late.
I did really well for beauty bits this year, which is always a bonus!
I got a new bottle of my favourite toner; Pixi Glow Tonic, which was timed really well as I use it every single day and my current bottle only has about a quarter left in it.
From one of my very favourite brands bareMinerals I got a double pack of mascaras including a full size Lash Domination and a half size travel version, perfect for carrying around with me in my handbag. I was also lucky enough to get the bareMinerals Glow Together palette which is absolutely stunning and is something I've been eyeing up for a while. It contains a beautiful highlight shade, pink blush and mineralised baked bronzer - I can't wait to wear them all.
A huge surprise was to open a new Charlotte Tilbury lipstick (who doesn't love adding these to their collection?!) I got the shade Very Victoria from the Matte Revolution collection, which is inspired by by ultimate girl crush Victoria Beckham. It's a brown toned pink, which is really wearable for everyday use and as with all of the Matte Revolution collection, it's surprisingly hydrating for a matte lipstick.
Continuing with the beauty theme I was given a couple of nail varnish sets; one from Nails Inc with a mini burgundy and mini gold glitter polish and a cute little Ted Baker set with a nude nail varnish and lipgloss in rose gold packaging - so pretty!
I also received the obligatory Soap & Glory gift set of three body butters... I ask for these every year - they're the best.
I've been hinting for a purse for months, as mine broke quite a long time ago and ever since I've been carrying my money loose in my bag... Well someone was listening as I opened a cute little nude snakeskin style coin purse from Dune, which is so handy for when I downsize my bag to a clutch for a night out.
I also asked for some little bits for my home as I'm trying to transform my little house into a Pinterest-esque haven! I was given some Black Coconut Yankee Candle plug in refills (I use these all the time - they're amazing for making the house smell delicious!), a T initial mug for my five cups of tea a day habit, two rose gold notebooks (hello blog props) and a gorgeous hammered copper photo frame - I just need to decide on a photo of me and Elodie to go inside!
Finally for my office I got a DIY lightbox, which I must have mentioned somewhere along the line as I have been after one for ages (I think every blogger needs one of these!) I will be able to use it in my YouTube videos and in my blog and Instagram shots too.
Have you blogged about what you got for Christmas? I'd love to have a read!
