I find it so easy to get into a rut with my makeup. Day in day out I reach for the same products over and over again, repeating the exact same look no matter what the occasion.
I do try to change things up now and again, but it's so easy to forget about the gems I have in my darwers and it's easy to find a product which really works for you, and to just stick with it.

I was approached by Just My Look to refresh my makeup bag with a few products from their website which stocks lots of beauty, hair, skincare and tanning brands, and who wouldn't have jumped at the chance?!
I was completely spoilt for choice with brands I am familiar with and brands which I've never used before, but after much deliberation, I am really happy with my choices.
For so long now I have been wanting to get my hands on the LA Girl Pro Conceal High Definition Concealers, but they aren't so easy to get hold of in the UK... Just My Luck stock them in all shades and they are currently in the sale, so if you've been searching for them like I have, now is the perfect time to stock up.
I went for the lightest shade 'Porcelain' to use as a concealer and highlighter and one of the darker shades 'Beautiful Bronze' to use as a contour after seeing Sarah Ashcroft use it in one of her YouTube videos.
They both come in a squeezy tube that has a brush applicator on the end, making it really easy to apply and control the application with.
The light shade is really high coverage and quite brightening on my skin, a little goes a long way when blended with my beauty sponge and it seems to be really long lasting.
The contouring shade is very dark on my skin, and I only need a tiny amount, but when blended on top of, or below my foundation I can achieve a really defined and sculpted look to my face.
I will without doubt be repurchasing these when they run out as they are such a bargain... If you haven't tried them yet, please do!
As a huge fan of Sleek, I decided to add another of their Highlight Palettes to my collection... I already have the Solstice Palette and use it almost every day, so it felt natural to add another set of shades to my makeup bag. This is the Precious Metals Palette which consists of three cream highlighters and one powder highlighter in shades of bronze/gold and one white highlight.
All four options are really highly pigmented, but can be worn really subtly when lightly applied. They all have an almost metallic finish to them and rather than being sparkly or glittery on the skin, they just glow.
I like to wear the white shade on my brow bone to lift my brows and the other three colours work alone or when blended together - another must have product.
Another Sleek product, but this time something which was completely new to me is the Matte Me Lip Cream in 'Velvet Slipper', a muted plum shade. I'm really into liquid lipsticks at the moment, they're so comfortable to wear and I keep finding such beautiful colours in them.
This is the first I have tried from Sleek, and I really like it. The colour payoff is amazing, it's so highly pigmented and really long lasting on the lips.
The only thing I'm not totally sold on with this is applying it... The formula is wetter than some liquid lipsticks I have, which makes it more difficult to apply precisely, although it's not a problem, I just apply it with a lip brush instead so that I have more control.

Have you added any new things to your makeup bag recently?
I'm always keen to hear your recommendations too!
