I've decided to add another little feature to my blog, which will come at the end of each month (or beginning in this case, great start Tor!). I'm going to call it 'My Month' because I am super imaginative with my titles and I like to keep things simple!
Each post will include a little round up of how my month has gone, any interesting things I've got up to but haven't really blogged about and any memories I want to document.
February was really busy for me and I spent a lot of the month in different parts of the country. I went to London for the Real Techniques Multi Tech Collection launch party, which was such a good event.
The space was set up on different floors of a building in Soho with activity stations on each floor; there were makeup artists on hand to touch up makeup and let us try the brushes first hand, we could design our own looks with the new brushes and customise our brushes with diamantes and jewels. There was also a giant ball pool, an amazing DJ playing upstairs and fee drinks galore - it ticked all of the boxes!
I was surprised to find that there wasn't anyone else I knew at the event, which I'm not going to lie, was slightly daunting! It was great to see Sam & Nic again though and I got to meet lots of new people. You can read my review and initial thoughts on the brush collection here.
While in London, I managed to squeeze in some amazing food and a little bit of sight seeing, despite the freezing cold weather! It made such a change from my usual rushed visits where I don't feel like I really get to appreciate the city.
I spent my time in Piccadilly, caught up with an old friend who I hadn't seen for years and had a meeting at The Real Greek - Seriously I can't wait to go back here, the food was amazing!
It really made me appreciate London, and I'm going to make a conscious effort to see a different part every time I visit instead of sticking to the usual Oxford Street every time.
Of course I had a full week with Elodie as we had half term in the middle of the month. It's amazing working for myself when she's off school, as I'm able to just drop everything and spend my time with her. We managed to fill our week up with lots of days out, lots of good food and seeing lots of our fiends, it was perfect.
I have a blog post coming up at the end of the week about all the fun things we got up to, including our visit to Adventure Valley... If you have children and are based in the North East, I can't recommend it enough, Elodie is already begging to go back!
I've also spent a lot of time in my beloved North East, mainly Newcastle, which again I will be blogging about in more detail shortly... to be honest with you all though, it's mainly been eating and drinking that I've been getting up to, but why change a habit of a lifetime?!
I've spent time catching up with lots of North East bloggers which is always great and all in all I've had a pretty good month. It's so nice to be able to focus on the good instead of the bad for once!
Let me know if you like these kind of posts and if you'd like to see another at the end of March... I have a few more exciting things coming up, so hopefully it will be a good one.
Let me know how February has been for you!
