Last year I decided to make the change from writing monthly favourite posts to writing quarterly favourite posts. This gives me more chance to try and discover products I really do love, rather than basing my comments on first impressions.
I've decided to continue with the quarterly favourites again this year, and the end of March means that the first post is due. So here we have it...
A product I have wanted to add to my collection for so long is the LA Girl Pro Conceal concealer, and now that I have it, I really don't think I'll ever go without it again. The shade 'porcelain' works perfectly for my pale skin tone and is ideal for under the eye concealing and brightening.
I apply this directly to my under eyes, cheekbones, forehead, around my brows, cupids bow and down the centre of my nose before blending with my RT Beauty Sponge
The coverage from this concealer is great, it's long lasting and blends out really naturally. My favourite thing about this though, it how brightening it is... For under the eyes and highlighting the cheekbones and around the brows its truly amazing... I never reach for anything else unless I have a really bad spot which requires something a little more industrial, then I go for the Lasting Perfection or Erase Paste.

Something which has been kind of life changing for me since discovering it in February is the Merumaya Concentrated Spot Treatment. Every time I've had a spot, I've reached for this and applied a small amount directly to the spot before bed and without fail, every time, the spot is reduced and less red. I've been seriously impressed, and have to say it's been the best spot treatment I have ever used.
My most worn lip product this year has to be NYX Liquid Suede Lip Cream in 'Soft Spoken'. I have quite a few of these lip creams in my collection, but this has to be my favourite and most worn by far. The colour is a beautiful brown/rose shade which is ideal for daytime, and the formula is so comfortable to wear.
It applies really smoothly, with amazing pigmentation in just one coat, and I rarely find that I have to touch up, even after most meals, the colour stays intact. It dries quickly, but doesn't dry out the lips, and there's never any smudging of bleeding... I'm always raving about this, and can't wait to get my hands on more shades from the collection.
The mascara I have used most so far this year has been the bareMinerals Lash Domination mascara which I was bought for Christmas. I had been wanting to try this for a very long time, mainly due to my love for the brand and because I was really intrigued by the twisted bristled applicator.
This really lengthens and defines the lashes, with one coat being enough for every day wear and a few coats giving the dramatic eye look I love for nighttime. The unique applicator means that every single lash is caught and coated with mascara from root to tip... I really believe this makes all of the difference.
Another product I've used almost every day has been the Rodial Contour Powder. This gives a really natural, yet defined and chiselled look to the cheekbones, the colour is just perfect for my skin tone.
Although this is quite a pricey choice for contouring with, I do think the price is justified... Not only is the compact a decent size, it's got a leather lid and the product inside definitely has a feel of luxury about it. A tiny amount can be blended to look really natural yet still give some impact and as the powder is so fine, it  applies flawlessly, unlike any other contour powder I have used.
Lastly, the makeup item that I feel as though I have talked about more times than is necessary lately, but what can I say... I just love Benefit Gimmie Brow! This is such a quick and easy product to include in my every day makeup routine, which gives my brows more definition, holds them in shape and allows me to create that fluffy brow look which I just love.
I think I might even film a video dedicated to how I use this to transform my brows... Considering I didn't like it when I first used it, I now couldn't be without it!

Let me know your favourite products and discoveries of the year so far in the comments below... I'd love to know!
