A new season means it's time to update the skincare cupboard, and with Spring around the corner I am reaching for lighter yet still hydrating options for my dry and sensitive skin.
My skin causes me endless stress and problems all year round, but when the warmer weather hits my skin can feel congested, I have more breakouts, trends levels always get higher and despite my skin always being dehydrated, I can suffer from oily areas too - oh the joys!

There are however, a few products which I love... Some new, some old, that I rely on for help. For Springtime, the four products below are currently sitting right at the front of my skincare shelf.
One of my favourite skincare products I've tried recently is the Roger & Gallet Beauty Vinegar, a clarifying tonic made up of a concentrate of 18 officinal plants and fruit vinegar - my skin loves natural based products.
Admittedly, I had never heard of a beauty vinegar before... It does sound a little scary, but it's really not. It's a very gentle, soft, slightly oily water based product which removes all traces of dirt and makeup with little effort needed, while smoothing and refreshing my skin.
I simply apply this to a cotton wool pad and sweep allover the face in my nightly skincare routine, just as I would with a regular toner. I have noticed great results since using this... my pores seem to be visibly smaller, and my skin just feels so much softer.

As my skin suffers from dryness, I can never be without a moisturiser, and the Roger & Gallet Legendary Cream is the perfect hydration giver for the warmer months. Yes this is the second item I'm mentioning from the Aura Mirabilis range, and no this post isn't sponsored, I just really like the products!
It's very lightweight and sinks into the skin almost instantly with a melting effect, yet manages to keep my skin feeling comfortable and moisturised all day long. On contact with the skin, it turns to a gel type consistency which is really cooling on the skin, and so satisfying to apply when my skin is feeling particularly sensitive or tight, and especially great in the warmer months. This definitely helps to reduce any redness (which I'm a big sufferer of) and it really works in conjunction with the Beauty Vinegar to improve my skins radiance and texture.

For those days when the weather is humid and my skin feels congested and sticky, there is no product I would rather reach for than the La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water
This can be used as part of your skincare routine as a toner or over makeup whenever needed to set products or simply to cool you down. A quick spritz of this incredibly refreshing fine mist can make such a difference... The minerals penetrate the skin to cool and refresh from within and leave my skin feeling really hydrated, which for me is a must have throughout Spring and Summer.

And finally, the newest addition to my Spring skincare is the Vichy Idealia Peeling, an overnight skin treatment which requires so little effort, but gives really impressive results.
As I have mentioned endless amounts of times, my skin is dry, it's sensitive and it's dull... Which is the type of skin this product really targets (although it is suitable for all skin types). The active ingredients including antioxidant blueberry polyphenol and fermented black tea work through the night to give a brighter and rejuvenated complexion by morning.
This is such a quick and easy step to include in your nighttime skincare routine, even if you're tired and can't be bothered with all of your usual steps. Simply apply this to a cotton pad and sweep over the face, then you're done! There's no rinsing, no removing, it just soaks in over night without leaving any residue behind and you should find you wake up to bright and bouncy skin. This is exactly what I need for repairing my skin after the damage caused over Winter.

Do you change the products on your skincare shelf with each season?
